Well success from a ‘personal perspective’ is completely self-defined. So that’s down to Tom himself…To a point. It depends what success is. Ultimately, in music, everyone would be Ed Sheeran if they applied the 'give the audience what they ask for' maxim.
To make something a bit different, then to some degree you have to do your thing. I agree 1000% that respect for your audience is important - but I don't think that has to be just giving them what they want. It should show in the quality/effort apparent in the work and it certainly did in the Third Tier that Tom did. It might not have been that regular but it was in depth, informed and well put together. I didn't know that I wanted to listen to Tom chatting to a Gillingham and Fleetwood fan, but it turned out, I did!
Anyway, the main point is, whatever and whoever and whysoever, I wish Tom loads of luck and I'm sure it'll be grand cos I've liked his other stuff and I liked doing the pod with him and ultimately, all fan media is is people talking shite so I look forward to more shite in the great toilet bowl of BFC fan media.
Bloody hell . Didnt realise OO was on here !Im old and spunky if thats any use
Very good it is too.If you need a platform, we would potentially be interested in partnering. We run a Blackpool FC Discord Server with around 450 members. More of a live chat thing than a traditional forum.

I was only highlighting LCTV with it representing the upper echelons of the ‘online content’ game, to highlight the difference in professionalism really. Though I do think there’s an element of “I’m too ‘cool’ to watch Lee Charles” that goes on… Personally, I respect the way he conducts himself and the hard work and effort he puts it.I'd rather put my bollocks through a meat grinder than watch LCTV but we all have our foibles
I'd say Seasiders podcast is more Old Grey Whistle Test whereas LCTV is more Cheggars plays pop!!I was only highlighting LCTV with it representing the upper echelons of the ‘online content’ game, to highlight the difference in professionalism really. I’d say the Seasiders Podcast is miles better from an entertainment perspective, but they are kind of ‘not that arsed’. Whereas Lee (at least for me) isn’t so interesting, but it’s miles more professional and polished and in fairness to him, he’s genuinely passionate about what he does and puts a lot of time and effort into it and that comes across.
In footballing terms, the podcast lads are a bit like Ian Poveda, whereas Lee is more of a Jerry Yates.
You’re spot on with the Old and Grey bitI'd say Seasiders podcast is more Old Grey Whistle Test whereas LCTV is more Cheggars plays pop!!
I wish you well (we wish him well)There's a lot to be said for doing something audio only. A lot of people only really get chance to listen to stuff while driving and, let's face it, very few Seasiders are likely to have a good face for Zoom
I think I'll launch a rival one called Chizzballs. House rules being that guests may only communicate using the idioms, maxims and epithets of Radio Blackburn's finest. A grizzled veteran of this parish who has built up a wealth of knowledge and rapier sharp insights from his years sucking on the Oyston teat
Seriously that one could fly td. I know a few Seasiders who have frankly unforgivable music taste but some of the stuff from the old Friday music threads was inspiringHow about a Blackpool supporters version of Desert Island Discs called "On the Island?"
The best podcasts like this have timings on so ...PLEASE make them shorter! I’ve yet to finish a Seasiders Podcast - 15 mins in the car and I’m done - really doesn’t need to be longer!
It's terrible now and that live chat is the most cringe-worthy thing on the airwaves.I'd rather put my bollocks through a meat grinder than watch LCTV but we all have our foibles
I will start with my most favouritest track ever...How about a Blackpool supporters version of Desert Island Discs called "On the Island?"
I think you’re being a bit tight there Sim…. It takes all sortsIt's terrible now and that live chat is the most cringe-worthy thing on the airwaves.

First episode will launch this week. If you ever want to be a guest please fill in this. (Easiest way for me to collect data!) https://forms.gle/jbQqKsSDKhwRg7iG9
No, no...it will be 8 players you want to take with you to the desert island.Seriously that one could fly td. I know a few Seasiders who have frankly unforgivable music taste but some of the stuff from the old Friday music threads was inspiring

I do like Lee's stuff, but does the room in the background not look a touch like a Parisien brothel?I'd say Seasiders podcast is more Old Grey Whistle Test whereas LCTV is more Cheggars plays pop!!
Hmm. Could be something there. Could be a pot pourri - a smorgasbord of BFC and personal ephemera. Favourite tunes, favourite pre/post match drink, favourite pre match food, favourite players. The possibilities are ... limited but not endless. Unless of course common sense is the Victor here and the Chizzballs concept receives the audience it deserves 🏝️No, no...it will be 8 players you want to take with you to the desert island.
Paulco!I've heard there's an outspoken member of the AVFTT community on the first one.
Could be one of around 300 people to be fair.Paulco!

Really don't understand discord...
How do I find said group?
Episode one is live mate.Get the podcast going @Brantham_Blackpool - just seen the Podcast’s latest cast and didn’t stick around!
Some constructive criticism for you mate:Episode one is live mate.
Appreciate that mate. I’ve got a mic. New stand and protector for it on order.. my son broke the stand. Some constructive criticism for you mate:
1. You say 'erm' a LOT. Try and cut the 'erm's out of your vocabulary.
2. You need a better mic. It sounds like you recorded it using the mic built into your laptop and it felt like I was in a work call on Microsoft teams.
Other than that I thought the discussion was decent and you kept it well on topic
I bet that's a positive spaceIf you need a platform, we would potentially be interested in partnering. We run a Blackpool FC Discord Server with around 450 members. More of a live chat thing than a traditional forum.

Mostly discord.I bet that's a positive space
I'm building myself up mate, wait until my hour long special on Oliver Turton and CJ Hamilton.Enjoyed that , well done Tom and the 3 guests - Kurt you were quite uncontroversial for which you should be appluaded
I think it's the intro so people know who's who for that particular Podcast, any feedback is good feedback for Tom. As long as people enjoyed hearing BFC content that's all that matters.1st Min of the 15th min was just hello's .. get straight in to it is my advice.
