New building in Blackpool evacuated.

Just been into the town centre and found that new local government building being evacuated by the workmen and smoke billowing from the roof top.
Not a good start considering it’s not even been opened yet.

Yeah had some black smoke, looked pretty thick on some pics but was on the roof, said to smell like plastic burning.

Seemed to be under control fairly quickly though.

Hopefully nothing too bad as the bulk of the building looked fine and is mostly a shell anyway atm I think.

Might slow them down a bit bit they are weeks ahead of schedule.

A commercial builder who has agreed a long term lease with the government?

Obviously in that scenario the tax payer pays, but on the drip so to speak.
