New East Stand

Looking at plans for new East Stand in todays Gazette it looks like the shape is to be similar to the present one, not joining roundly at the corners with north and south stands thus creating a “Stadium” profile.
Surely that would be the better option?
 
The South already has a corner infill where it meets the East.

Curved corners are proportionally more expensive to build, in relation to the number of seats they offer.

Also, they may wish to have a physical divide between N & E initially at least, for segregation?
 
That was just the council's proposal and they've had someone photoshop the East so it looks like the rest of the ground followed round for the sake of a visual.
