That’s just not true though regarding tactics and Calderwood. I seem to remember us doing ok in the championship

We were shit in the Championship, and the only time we showed promise was when Dobbie took over..! Had Simon pulled the trigger a couple of weeks sooner we might still be up there..

It’s about who is available and who fits with the club . I would be happy with other candidates like Eustace but , realistically it’s unlikely to happen .
 
He’s a busted flush, but we appointed him, Sadler has invested in him being a success, and we can’t keep on changing managers. This season is over anyway, so I’m still not sure…

Last season we kept Appleton on during January, got the players he wanted and sacked him straight after and took on a manager who didn't know what to do with those players, forgive me for thinking that the person who makes these decisions doesn't really know what to do in this sort of position or his team around him didn't.

For what it's worth I think he'll either be gone on the 2nd January or he'll be here for the rest of the season.

Yeah well last season was a complete disaster as we all know certainly not helped by the ridiculous decision to pot Apples when he’d just recruited the players he felt he needed.

I know we both have our doubts about the owner and what he does next will probably go some way to defining his stewardship.

I wonder if there is any contingency plan in place, I would wager not but I think you are right, Critchley either goes right now or he gets backed in January and given the rest of the season.
 
Hope we win now on Monday to gauge fan's real reaction because a fist pumping Critchley might not get the reaction he was hoping for.
 
If I knew we were getting somebody better I'd say get rid but the clubs recent history in appointing managers isn't good.
We went from a bad choice with Appleton to an unfathomable disaster in McCarthy!
So I'm not sure because at least with Critchley we usually win at home but if the crowd fully turn against him, won't take much we go a goal down against Lincoln and it will happen, we won't even be doing that.
If he does go I'd probably go for Duff that was sacked by Swansea.
