New Signing Confirmed (Dominic Thompson)

Can't say I know him but sounds promising if he has league experience and he has been at Brentford. They are very canny when it comes to recruitment. Wonder how much it was?
 
Ok, we needed that position covered, let’s see what he’s like, certainly at 6 foot, he should be physically up to it.

Loads bleating on about failed transfer targets that the club neither accept or deny and then out of the blue with zero ITK they sign someone.

Probably now know why Lyon’s deal fell through. They found a better option.

I’m guessing Bishop will be the same if it wasn’t the manager wanting to keep what we already had?
 
Don’t think I’ve seen him play, but sounds a decent signing in the mould we’ve talked about. Apparently Rotherham were in for him according to bees forum. Excellent crosser according to them too.

Would obviously have preferred to sign players earlier in the window, but with him (and others too) playing for a Prem team I'd assume it wasn't possible to make.

The club have always been about quality over quantity in this window and I for one and glad we've waited to get the right deals across the line instead of panicking.

This signing honestly fills me with a lot of confidence.
 
Pleased about this, and more than a little relieved.
A 6 ft LB who will feel he's got an opportunity to prove himself after not getting a chance with Brentford since the 2019/20 season. Another ex Swindon loan player I see.

At 6ft we've a chance of defending against Cardiff near post nod ons in the LB position, rather than leaving Garbutt to it like Critch did last year.

Cover and options at LB beyond Husband and Garbutt, really happy with this

Now for Lyons at RB.

Much happier about the season start than I was an hour ago. Hope we can get a RB before Saturday?
 
So Im presuming hes more of a defensive minded full back rather than somebody who will look to get forwards a lot. No problem with that, I like a defender who wants to defend. Not much footage of him online,short piece I saw of him in an Arsenal shirt he looks strong and reads things in the air well.
