How many times this summer has Appleton said someone is coming in very shortly/next day or two, and then nothing happens?
Why doesn’t he just say nothing?
Why doesn’t he just say nothing?
There’s a song in there somewhereYou say it best, when you say nothing at all
Great news of trueDrinkwater is nearly done I’m told. Nothing on the Carroll deal from my source.
Running quite smoothly for the last three years…Yes we certainly got the impression that an out of contract player would be coming in this week, with the likelihood of another one following. Nothing ever runs smoothly at BFC!
Not according to the manager. This transfer window has been anything but smooth. How many players have we missed out on?Running quite smoothly for the last three years…
I have no reason to think otherwise. Expecting a 1 plus 1 deal.Great news of true
Just so long as it's not the Ronan Keating versionThere’s a song in there somewhere
Nice song though!Just so long as it's not the Ronan Keating version
Just how close is nearly done?Drinkwater is nearly done I’m told. Nothing on the Carroll deal from my source.
Well…. They were very close but wage demands of circa £10k was too much ultimately. Rightly so too.Just how close is nearly done?
8th Sept it was nearly done and now it’s 26th so should we be worried he’s not signing?
£10K is far too unrealistic for a player his age & with his recent lack of game time.Well…. They were very close but wage demands of circa £10k was too much ultimately. Rightly so too.
You'd think a 3 month deal could have been sorted as it would have suited both sides. DD takes 5k with no commitment beyond 3 months and we fill a hole. Maybe we should have met half way?£10K is far too unrealistic for a player his age & with his recent lack of game time.
Some 'has been' players (& managers) really are pathetic. If reports are true, this guy is happy to sit on his arris - earning nothing, and when he's offered circa £5K a week (£20K a month), he turns it down as he wants over £10K. Net result = he's happy to earn nothing & live off the multi millions he's already banked.
If he doesn't want to play for us, on our terms, then move on to someone who does .... and quickly.
The notion is the Blackpool spirit will see us through. That will only work for so long and unless you semi-compete you will in the end, fail. As sure as night follows day.Pay 's get 's. Maybe our wage structure needs looking at as it seems we do not compete with any other Championship side and seem to be struggling competing with League 1 teams as far as transfers go. Worrying times for our Championship status and unfortunately I can see us failing this season, having said that it ain't my and whatever I think makes no odds to the running of BFC
Can't imagine anyone would be disappointed with that news.Take it Bridcutt isn't happening either.
Depends if the manager wanted him or not. Can't imagine anyone would be disappointed with that news.
