Next manager?

Evatts got a brilliant record as a manager, and a strong connection to the club. Only worry is his lack of championship experience (as a manager).

We need an experienced head til the end of the season

Just one that’s enthusiastic please!

Pleased to be here. Doesn’t think we are a shit club and need to know our place.

I’d support another Critch type young manager on a learning curve with an older head with him option
You not think we need someone quick just for 6 months just to get us to stay up , then maybe get a coach in summer , maybe wilder now 🤷

Think we need to be realistic, seen far too many names over the last few days who we’re never going to get. Rather not go back with Holloway either, nothing personal but I’ve had enough of old managers for now

No chance he will come. Messed him around before and now he’s looking at promotion.

Who we reckoning?

Richie Wellens?
Ian Evatt?
Stephen Dobbie?

No for me to Ian Holloway and Simon Grayson...
Surely we have to be looking at a better standard than that?

Wellens really?
Evatt no way will he leave Bolton
Dobbie No managerial experience.

Agree about Holloway and Grayson.

Far more better qualified people out there than ex players/managers of this club.

Got to be Big Sam or warnock for me, both know how to survive relegation, and have plenty of experience, could also pull a few strings in January transfer window.

Doesn’t think we are shit 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Vert true though unfortunately ☹️

Maybe TM?

A young manager could bring that enthusiasm that’s enough to carry us through. Or we go old head and hope experiences matter to our squad

I’d be very surprised if it was a permanent appointment at this stage, too much risk for both parties. I imagine work has been going on to put a replacement in place to the end of the season. Personally, I think Oli is the only candidate to get the positive vibe about the place.

Think it will be Ramsay

Wouldn’t mind Liam Manning

Would love Evo but something tells me someone at the club doesn’t want him (notwithstanding it would be difficult to do)

Wellens would be good, but after a couple of underwhelming spells he’ll probably want to finish the job there

One who has impressed me: Port Vale’s Darrell Clarke

Wild card? Wilder

Pretty sure the new man is lined up, hence the fact we didn’t sack Apples immediately after Saturday

I posted before the Appleton appointment that they should go for Steve Schumacher of Plymouth. His ongoing record this season makes me still think he could be a good fit . From the NW too.
Could do a lot worse, but suspect he won’t move given the position they’re in. Probably fancies his chances of being in the Championship next season with them more than with us …

Would be interesting to see him going up against Ryan Lowe…

Probably a qualified manager, rather than someone we all like cos they used to play for us.

There are bigger names I would like to see like Chris Wilder but it cant be denied that every side Richie Wellens gets hold of turns to gold. He's more than proven himself in a lower league and could he make the step up now?

I think the difficulty is short term Vs long term. Short term we are probably more likely to survive with a manager like Tony Pulis or Mick McCarthy but would we want them longer term?

The longer term vision would be a younger more exciting coach but that kind of appointment is more likely to see us go down.

Good luck to them.

Wellens knows he strength of some of our players, plays football the right way so would fit. Wilder would be a good shout if we can afford him. Love Evatt but he won't leave Bolton. Agent Simmo world cup winner and fecked Preston. Holloway to the end of the season.

Looks like someone is already lined up!

Blackpool Football Club has today relieved Michael Appleton of his duties as Head Coach.

Assistant Head Coach David Kerslake will also be leaving with Michael.

The Club would like to thank Michael and David for their efforts during their time at Bloomfield Road and wish them all the best for the future.

The Club hope to be able to announce a new Head Coach in the coming days.

Wasn't Manning recently sacked from MK dons, who sit bottom of league 1?

Just spoken to a big United fan who says they didn`t score from a set piece for 2 years !!
He isn’t the ‘set-piece coach’ although set pieces were part of his remit

First-team coach at Utd, former youth coach at Chelsea. Every qualification going.

Would not be disappointed (though wouldn’t be my first choice)

No way Schumacher would come, Plymouth may well be in the Championship next season.
Ollie? Yesterday's man, and a part of our support hate him for going as he did - swapping one divisive manager for another won't work.

Wellens is a good shout, as Seasiders Podcast were discussing last night.
Duncan Ferguson exudes positivity and passion. Maybe a short term appointment with a long term option?

Laugh it up Nobber. It’s been a nice 6 months for you lot at our expense so enjoy.

Of course it’s not going to be long until the same will be announced on your graveyard of a fans forum….

It’ll be all cha, butter pie, going on and sister bothering.
Could well be cha 👍🏻
