Next Player to sign a new contract

As good a defender as Marvin is, do we think he is the answer if we have ambitions for promotion? Difficult to see him getting any better on the ball.
 
Dougall, Hubby then Marv. Tie them 3 down and we'll have a good core squad regardless of our division. If we do win promotion, we can always look to off load those that become surplus to requirements. All 3 of the above are top L1 level in my opinion.
 
Think Dale is forcing himself into match day squad and potential regular starter.
Suspect Kenny possibly wants to finish his career in Oz, so maybe Matty is needed as DM cover

Think Kenny can earn a lot more in the UK and is a long way off finishing. It also depends perhaps on his future plans post-football, and where he can best pursue those. If he wants to stay in the game in some capacity there are a lot more opportunities over here.

i didn't see any speculation tbh, I just think Kenny may choose a change of scenery - but I have no idea really. He's 30 now so will probably just take the best contract offer, wherever what comes from.
 
Kenny would be my choice too but suspect there may be a desire to move back to Australia. Think his time being left unable to return over covid, coupled with now also not getting the regular international returns may have fast-tracked his plans.

Would be a shame as he's been a stand-out player since he signed.

Marvin may well be allowed to leave in 2024. He was not in the squad last Saturday. The team played very well. No goals against. Lacy good young player, new contract, on the bench. Maybe Critchley has decided already.

I suspect Kenny wants a good deal to finish his career on, and why not? I hope to hell he does sign again. In Critchley first year he was the catalyst behind our improvement and despite getting dogs abuse from some last year and the start of this season, he remains our most important midfielder.

Looking at his partner's YouTube channel, they've just bought a house together in Manchester so hopefully he's settled here

I think you may still be right. The Aus leagues didn't start until mid October, so not much point in him doing nothing from Aug till then, nor them paying wages, plus he'll be 'up and running' so to speak.

It wouldn't surprise me.

Bit overlooked.

Clean the bleedin' woodburner glass for gawd's sake. A bit of kitchen roll dampened, dipped in some ash cleans it nicely in about 30 seconds. Polish with another bit of roll or some newspaper for a nice shine. If she can walk that slowly surely she has time to do that!

And why does she take Tesco mince pies out of the oven? THEY'RE READY TO EAT. Stopped watching after that.
