Next Tory Leader

He's got to get elected as an MP first, which he has been unable to do in what six attempts. farage as Tory leader would pretty much ensure a labour victory, and the end of the Tories as a party. If Cameron, may, Johnson, truss and sunak haven't already got them very close to that point.

Regardless or what anybody thinks about Sir Nigel, I think that it is rather sad that their consitution would be ignored/changed rather than have him as their leader.

Do you think he'd get elected? He never has before.

I don't know Wiz.

You always appear to rejoice in the fact that he has never been an MP but love him or loathe him, Nigel Farage is certainly one of the most influential British politicians of the 21st century and very possibly the most.

He has certainly been more influential than the MP for the Outer Hebredes, whoever that may be ?

He's the most divisive politician and the reason the country is enmeshed in culture wars.

You know we will never agree here Wiz.

Always a pleasure to discuss/debate with your good self but too late to be getting into a ding dong tonight.

Are you at the match tomorrow ?

I'm thinking you will be and if so, I hope you have a great day out and come back with all the points.

He’ll stand on the beach with his Union flag underpants on his head singing land of hope and glory. When these pesky boat people and the traffickers see how patriotic Nige is they will shit it and swim back to France.
.....with that image in mind...I’m not sure their record breaking swim back to France will be entirely based on his patriotic display..😳

I suppose it kind of depends who you talk to, to a lot of people Nigel Farage is a hero.
id say 99% of your average every day working man or woman that don’t tend to get stressed out about politics But care deeply about the country they live in would put a cross by his name.
I don’t really have an opinion on him but he speaks really well and seems a decent honest fella when I’ve heard him on the news.
people are fed up of the same bull shit politics, but if this man was in charge I’d say people would sit up and pay Attention.

He's a decent, honest fella? The privately educated former banker? With a German passport?

He claims to be a man of the people, yet his whole background is part of the Establishment he claims is against him.

Victim.
Ah well we will have to agree to disagree there.
anyway good news is we are ahead of schedule not far off Crewe, so should be in Oxford well before opening time👍🏻👍🏻 are you stopping at that pub Bob mentioned at half time last Saturday? 😉

Angus MacNeil (Independent). Formerly elected for the SNP but expelled after leaving their Parliamentary group. He has a majority of 2,438. He is the current Chair of the Parliamentary Energy Security and Net Zero Select Committee.

May call in, but will definitely be in the British Legion as we're parking up there.

Well let’s be honest the current lot aren’t exactly achieving much are they?
Very much not. Tory members are also a strange lot (that's political parties for you), and a party that could elect Liz Truss as leader could, by my reckoning, turn to Farage. They'd be wrong to do so, mind. If there's one thing we've learned about Farage it's that he's only ever interested in himself.

Has Farage not realised that his one big idea, leaving the EU, hasn't benefitted anybody apart from himself a few catastrophe capitalists and some billionaires with dubious tax arrangements.
He's good at telling us what he doesn't like but tell us how you make life better for the majority of people.
What's the next big idea from the frog faced fuck wit! I'm sure it will be amazing.

I’m sure there are quite a few more that have benefited than you mention.
one thing I have noticed though since we left, instead of getting my mail after 3 in the afternoon it now comes at 9-15 on the dot everyday 👍🏻👍🏻 what’s not to like😁

There's definitely some still getting post at 3.15, luck of the draw, but Farage isn't getting any credit for your early mail!!

That title surely has to go to Blair, he's the one who created the conditions that ultimately led to Brexit, Farage simply pointed out how unpopular a lot of them were.

It shows how deluded the political populous is when this creature was elected for 3 stints. He not only should have been prosecuted for a real offence ( not having a G & T at a party), but was also instrumental for having this horrendous issue with economic migrants.

A devious, egoistic, supercilious man who gets labelled as 'having charisma'.

Sadly Labour keeps churning these leaders out, with Starmer and Corbyn being the worst ( Tories have the same problem), although I make exception with the late John Smith who was a potential political powerhouse.

Did he not get elected as a European MP? I just have the memory of him waving UJ flags in the parliament as the decision was formally announced
