Another of Blackpools most excellent MPs is next to be investigated by the Independent Parliamentary standards authority for expenses.

I think he's on firmer ground than Benton. I can't say for certain but the way that Maynard tells it, he sought permission from the expenses authority (IPSA) for what he did.

The guy is a stereotypical lofi Tory MP - I don't think he is crooked in the way Benton is .
Reckon both will be displaced later this year

The whole of them are just unbelievable...the shameful antics of yesterday combined with yet another tale of financial misdemeanours from one of our trusted MPs...it's no wonder that there's mis-trust in the murky world of politics.

The GE whenever that happens will have a really low turnout as loads of folk just will not bother voting (which is a real shame as people have literally died to allow us all to vote)! My son is a first time voter this time and has a keen interest in politics but he's even doubting the whole process and whether it's worth it.....he's already mentioned about leaving the UK post Uni-gradutation for a better life/opportunities....what a sad endictment!
