Except there were viewing figures in the UK of over a million at 4.00am.Most over hyped nonsense ever.
Made out like the whole world cares when in reality no one gives a toss apart from America.
Over 1-200 million watch the event big deal three times more watch a typical Liverpool v Man Utd game.
Around 3-4 million watch in the UK.Except there were viewing figures in the UK of over a million at 4.00am.
At 4.00 in the morning?Around 3-4 million watch in the UK.
Sky sports can get that on a Sunday game!
I'm comparing viewing figures. At 4.00 in the morning?
Spot ps.Most over hyped nonsense ever.

You could say the same about the Premier League (for example), it boils down to the teams with the most money passing it around a bit until one of three or four teams win it.Spot ps.
Especially when they tag world series on things when the reality is other than a few in a cliche on here couldn't care less.
Worked in London years ago when CH4 started promoting it. Went to watch two South London sides mimic Anerican Football. Strip away all the hype & razzmatazz it's a dull watch.
Have to allow for the uninspired half time entertainmentI’m no fan of American football but I would have watched it had it not taken 4 friggin hours.
5 with overtimeI’m no fan of American football but I would have watched it had it not taken 4 friggin hours.
Agree Lytham, have no connection with the PL & the hype generated over the boxing, especially the heavyweight bouts is cringemaking. You could say the same about the Premier League (for example), it boils down to the teams with the most money passing it around a bit until one of three or four teams win it.
You could say the same about most things.
That’s my view about Golf and the masters. Pointless and overhyped and not too many people across the world care about it.Most over hyped nonsense ever.

If was on the Kansas team i would be pretty pissed off that at the time of the pinnacle of my career the T.V. cameras immediately turn to some songstress one of my teammates is knobbing rather than concentrating on me and my teammates. Mahoomes wife is just as bad as TS by the way...This whole hysteria as to whether Taylor Swift was going to attend to watch her boyfriend participate wtf is all that about ? Who cares ?
No wonder the world is in a mess if people think this is sort of stuff is newsworthy .
Don't think Golf has ever pretended to be one of the biggest global events. That’s my view about Golf and the masters. Pointless and overhyped and not too many people across the world care about it.
I’m sure many on here would disagree though?
There is an NFL thread in the Off Topic section where it was discussed, along with the whole season. What a relief that all Blackpool fans were sane enough to be tucked up in bed and not watch this Hollywood enthused bad game of rugby!
Taylor Swift has got millions of new watchers to the sport. Whether it's for the right reasons is a separate debate. It’s a hideous display of Americans being Americans, and what has this Taylor Swift woman done to deserve the amount of airtime she’s getting? Can’t say I’ve ever heard one song of hers but my guess is that it’ll be bland af shite. Her boyfriend came across a as knob as well but then he’s an American so hardly surprising.
Super Bowl is watched in every corner of the world. NFL is just bloody good at promoting itself as is the Premier League. Neither maybe your cup of tea but the following is massive.Don't think Golf has ever pretended to be one of the biggest global events.
Unlike The Superbowl.
Comparing it to Union I think AF is actually easier to understand. I know AF is stop and start but it's defined, like Cricket, Rugby is too stop and start for me. Too many silly penalties that put points on the board and often win games for silly little things that can be hard to understand. The ball is obscured under bodies too much for me as well in Rugby and I think the timekeeping is very suss as well. Rugby can be great to watch when it's free flowing but it never lasts in a game and when I rarely watch a game I always come away thinking what a bloody silly game. All in my opinion of courseNot necessarily disagreeing with you Nil, but why do you think that? Genuinely interested.
The thing about the NFL is all of the teams have massive resources and the draft ensures they all stay largely competitive over time. I would say the underdog team beat the favoured team (despite the underdogs being Champions). It’s very very competitive throughout the season and last night was very very tense and developed into a brilliant game towards the end.
It is a game of tactics, psychology, skill and brute force played out as an all day event. I’d hazard a guess those that can’t stand test match cricket are of a mindset similar to those that hate American football. Each to heir own but I love both.
Ok. One thing for sure is you will never get laid talking to a women about the golf.
Don't be silly, rather watch Saints v Wigan any day of the week.I see how the O/ P mentions Rugby.
American Football is superior in every way.
Rugby League keeps flowing. I prefer Union ( Internationals) but too much time on scrums, and as you say penalty decisions that are hard to comprehend.Comparing it to Union I think AF is actually easier to understand.
