I've been a big critic of Maxwell, but I'm delighted to have been proved wrong today. He had one of his best games in a Blackpool shirt. He commanded his box much better than usual (MM influence perhaps?) and made a couple of top draw saves. On today's evidence he deserves the shirt. Let's hope he can keep up this form and help keep us up...

Nelson for me but not that bothered. All played well defensively and Maxwell seemed to have a great game.

Thought he was very erratic in the first half. Lots of groaning about him going on around me, can’t say I was overly impressed, looked very unassured.

The Smallbone chance, over being a good save ( he did position himself well ) was a really lazy effort from the Stoke lad.

However looked loads better in the second and that save from the deflection was one of the best reaction save I’ve ever seen.

The basis of our season being a successful one on planning, training and managerial vision evaporated along time ago. It’s about team grit and individual moments now.

That save could be the reason we’re above the dotted line. Well done Maxi.

That's a bit harsh, he came for stuff he doesn't usually do & caught quite a few & I'm sure he made more than 2 vital saves. Some of his distribution wasn't the best I'd agree.
