Some of his touches are so clever . At times it seems his teammates aren’t on the same wavelength and thus fail to take advantage of his vision and skill . Must be so frustrating and the possible cause of unnecessary yellow cards. Can’t help thinking he will massive for us this season .

There was a point in the last 5mins where he got the ball with one player ahead. He took two touches, slowed the game down, forced all the Barsnleu players back in their half and retained possession. A perfect example of his pitch IQ.

I like him, hes defo the ball playing midfielder we needed .... but I do think he gets caught in possession needlessly sometimes. Is that because the players around him are not making themselves available or hes to slow releasing it?

Probably the former, but refreshing that he takes risks rather than the safe but boring and ineffective pass to a defender

Polar opposite of Dougall, always wants the ball so therefore percentage wise will occasionally be caught in possession. Dougall performs better pushing on, never looks comfortable receiving the ball off the back 3 unlike Norburn.

Critch says Virtue has a slight hammy and will be having a scan this week which possibly means 'see you in the New Year'. Hopefully he won’t be out too long.

Norburn benefits when he has other players around him who can tackle and share the workload, he is one-footed
and has benefitted from Virtue and Dougall playing and creating the space so that he can play facing the opposition goal,
rather than receive the ball facing his own goal under pressure. He does share one big thing with Stewart, he is hopeless when he gets sight
of the opposition goal. Unlike Dougall and Virtue who have goals in them, he could never hit for example the first-time shot that Dougall made on his left foot from CJ's cross yesterday.

Norburn does get caught pontificating too much and really good players create time. He also tackles like Paul Scholes. That said at this level he is decent and is part of a promising midfield with Dougall and Virtue.

Does feel as if the squad will be used this season as I can see player suspensions knocking on our door early on. Surprised in a couple of games this season we've not seen a red - hopefully the tide has turned after last season they were used like confetti!
