I was 70% certain of promotion with Yates. I am now 50%
Fleetwood away being the first game without Lavery when NI play. How many international players do we have. Lavery will be a massive loss to us in this league if we have to play matches during international breaks without him.
Haven’t Fleetwood some international players.Fleetwood away being the first game without Lavery when NI play.
There will be a number of incomings but not many. Will depend on outgoings to a large extent as we're getting close to the squad limit I think. Derby is not a bad shout, but I'm not convinced that they are better than ours. Time will tell.Go on I will bite..I think we are still 4-5 quality players short and whilst we have a decent first 11 we haven’t got sufficient strength in depth…off the top of my head Derby will have a much stronger squad than we have but there are others aswell…I hope we still strengthen but fear we wont
Three players out on International duty from either side to call a game off.Haven’t Fleetwood some international players.
I doubt the game will be played that Weekend.
You feeling alright, hun ?Lavery is going to score 30 plus. Far too good for League One.
Not sure where the idea that Derby have such a strong squad comes from.Go on I will bite..I think we are still 4-5 quality players short and whilst we have a decent first 11 we haven’t got sufficient strength in depth…off the top of my head Derby will have a much stronger squad than we have but there are others aswell…I hope we still strengthen but fear we wont
The thing is I’m not really bothered about the opposition as long as we are as strong as we can be…the investment and recruitment over recent windows has been extremely poor and we are playing catch up. We have made promising signings in Pennington Norburn Joseph and Morgan but we needed more numbers challenging for the shirt. As I said the first 11 looks pretty competitive but Critchley has a strange squad revolve policy and will drop players who are playing well. Hopefully we can get 2-3 really effective and top quality loans in and on the bright side Trybull is like a new signing. I’m hopeful rather than confident and it will be disappointing if we are just short of going up because we are a few players short. Not sure where the idea that Derby have such a strong squad comes from.
They finished seventh last season and have since lost the third-top scorer in the division, an international midfielder who went for £1 million plus and a couple of experienced mainstays of their defence. They’ve made a couple of decent additions especially at full-back, but not sure I’d be doing cartwheels if we’d signed any of them. Also a lot of 30+ players in their squad.
I can make a case for them to go up, especially with a good manager in Warne who now has time to get them properly drilled and up to his fitness standards. But I can also make a case for probably half a dozen others if not more … and a case against most of them.
Absolutely fine. You feeling alright, hun ?
Didn't realise that Madine scored so few that season! Jerry was worth his weight in goal and that loan spell for Simms was inspired. Did Kaikai last the whole season?League Goals that season:
Yates 20
Simms 8
Kaikai 7
Hamilton 5
Madine 4
Yeah he took a few months to get settled and certain members of the fan base losing their shit over his social media pictures not changing before he scored 2 at Burton. Also Yates took 10/11 games to score a goal didn’t he?
I think we’re in a good place. We still likely have Madine for the second half of the season and I’d be surprised if we don’t bring in another forward before August 5th
Lavery, Joseph and Beesley will all likely get 10-15 goals each.
What we need is another 20-30 from midfield / out wide.
Madine's last start was 25 January. 4 sub appearances after that.Didn't realise that Madine scored so few that season! Jerry was worth his weight in goal and that loan spell for Simms was inspired. Did Kaikai last the whole season?
We need one although I am looking forward to seeing Joseph play for us and there are goals in that midfield.A proven experienced striker is on the cards
i’ve done exactly the same bet mateWow I just saw that.
I’ve just gone £10 E/w. So if in the top 4 goalscorers I’m well in.
Joseph is the same odds but we’ve not seen him yet.
If Shayne stays fit, we know Critch likes his play from first time around in the Championship
