Not good news about Joseph..

Long ago I urged a major independent probe into disproportionate injuries.

Few made a similar call, despite many crocks, a big factor in the ultimate drop.

Blind loyalist fans get a club they deserve.
Yep I think there's someone sabotaging the players as they sleep.

6 to 8 weeks if it is a Hamstring tear. Given it happend over 2 weeks ago, hopefully he'll be fit for October. Cruel luck for the player.

Good to finally hear what the problem is and some sort of vague timescale, but it doesn't sound the like the injury he came with, which was my fear.

Just pure bad luck*

Now how hard was that update to do?

* If you can call constant hammy's bad luck. Another day another debate.

Critch on club website.

“It’s a hamstring injury, it’s unfortunate obviously and not good timing for everyone and I would’ve thought that will be a lengthy one of months rather than weeks. It’s not ideal, he’s come into the Club wanting to make a good impression from the off and I know he’s desperate to do well.

“He’s a very ambitious boy, that was one of the attractions for bringing him here, he’s really focused and driven, and he’s never suffered an injury like this before. He came with an injury but that was totally unrelated, he spent three weeks off the pitch and then had a week of running, ten days of training and then this one was two days after the Derby game.

Presumably he passed the medical, wasn't a crock for us - what have you done to the poor guy?
Even the merest hint of a move to BFC usually results in a grade 10 hamstring tear or a sudden and inordinate interest in fishkeeping 😬

Hamstring injuries are pretty common at every Club to be fair.... We probably had more than our fair share last season, but I think we've got to be realistic... We will inevitably pick up injuries and many of them will be hamstring injuries....

It's unfortunate for the player of course, but at least it puts to bed some of the more ridiculous rumours and we can look forward to the player returning in 6-8 weeks.

I bow to your genius
Again, you are thick. Hamstring injuries are one of the most common injuries in football. You’re also referring back to last season’s problem with hamstring injuries im assuming? With a completely different coaching staff, training methods, and different players with different bodies.

So your suggestion that it’s a club issue regarding Joseph’s injury is once again, thick. Thick as fuck actually.

We haven’t got a completely new coaching staff or different training methods though(many of last seasons coaches are still here) and I will wager that last season we had more hamstring problems than average so of course it was a club issue. I may be thick but if you were twice as clever you wouldn’t even be a half wit. Anyway I hope you are right and there are no more hamstring problems now….we will see

Yes, I remember your calls for a probe launch.

Sadly the only probe that is likely to be launched is directly up the 'arris of loyal fans (metaphor)

What would be interesting is to know if this is a recurrence of an old injury or if it’s a new injury since he’s been with us.

I notice Kyle played in 37 matches for Oxford last season so has recently had a good run. Kyle did not do a pre season with pool so did not have the same careful preparation as the rest of the squad.
From my morning paper I notice 3 premier league teams list a player unavailable due to hamstring problems so, as others have said, far from uncommon.
The main concern I would think, is severity of the tear, likelihood of re-occurrence, if out for a number of months it must be a good one.

It’s common here - it’s nearly compulsory!
