November's Expectations

I'll pre-empt this by saying on paper we have a fairly easy December (ie none of the Top 6 sides).
So what are your November expectations
Bolton (a), Shrewsbury (h), Pompey (a) and Northampton (h)
If we have any ambition then 6 points at home is a must - and time we put in that 90 mins performance and gave a side a good walloping.
As for Bolton and Pompey - would we all take a draw now?

Bolton win
Shrewsbury win
Portsmouth win
Northampton. Win
If critchley sets the team up from the start correctly I don’t see any reason why we can’t get the 12 points
Play the best players every game. Quite simple really
If only Critch would obey us! It's the least he can do after the way he abandoned us. 😆

Winning the home games is pamramount and because I'd say Bolton are the biggest threats to Oxford maybe a cheeky win on Saturday would be nice. I'll take what comes at Portsmouth as long as Colby Bishop doesn't score!

Wouldn't be surprised to see us get results in the two difficult away games but stutter at home. Pompey will have a wobble at some stage and we're better against better sides who don't sit back. We could win at Pompey then lose at home to Northampton and I wouldn't be surprised.

Bolton win
Shrewsbury draw (really are a bogey team L10 D3 this century)
Portsmouth win
Northampton Loss (on a Tuesday, we think we have hit form…..we have n’t)

Low Expectations, but high hopes.

As others have suggested, wouldn't be surprised were we to get at least a point at Pompey, but slip up at home.
Despite Bolton playing tomorrow feel they'll still be up for Saturday.

Will NC get it right tactically?

We weren't against Peterborough.

The "Blackpool way"

Bolton - L
Shrewsbury - W
Pompey - D
Northampton - W

No Kenny at Bolton, and maybe no Norburn. And if he does play probably won't be 100%.

But once we get him and Kenny back together, with Dembele more involved, we should start to get on a roll, hopefully.

From memory they're a bogey team at their place and not at ours.
Got a mate from uni who supports them. I can assure you we haven’t beat them since at least 2000.

Pennington got their winner at Bloomfield Rd last time we played them

Just Google the results, since 2000 at home 4L 2D.

But we have their goal scorer from last season Matt Pennington so I say a win against the Shrews

Interesting Bolton had 61% possession last night but only 2 shots on target which both obviously went in.
Sound like a team that like to be in possession and so a sturdy defence with Dembele and Lavery on the break should serve us well.
