Yes, up to league1 standard and no more than that.you claimed that the whole squad was league 2 standard last year so it seems they improved somewhat

strange that isn't it - took them a whole season to get up to league 1 standard, but somehow managed to get promoted.Yes, up to league1 standard and no more than that.

You are allowed to throw the ball into space for a player to move towards rather than straight at a marked manPlus a foul throw at this level is disgraceful. To be fair, there was absolutely nothing on for the thrower, but therein lies the problem. Movement non-existent, whereas Cov always creating space for the man on the ball.
no i think we will see that this squad is probably a low - mid tableish championship side, a few tweaks and some improvement in understanding between players and i think you have a higher mid table side, which bearing in mind every season in every division there are maybe two or three sides that are outstanding two or three sides that are bad and the rest, is almost anybodies guess, top ten would be my prediction and expectation. last year i saw enough in pre season to suggest we were going to do well, and so it proved. this year ive seen enough to suggest we will be nobodies whipping boys....and you're confident that history will repeat itself?
They are bang average - for the championship. In this division, everything is a couple of yards faster. Thinking, passing, movement, the lot. Which is a bit worrying, but it's a learning curve that the whole club, team, coaches, recruitment, owner, fans, will have to negotiate together. It's going to be one hell of a ride! The worrying thing i thought Coventry were bang average but still managed to out play us is there is no balance in the team and no pace across the back four.
Well my prediction is bottom 6 and it may take splashing the cash in January to avoid a return to league 1. At the moment we've no right back, a poor combination at cb, a slug at left back, a weak midfield with no creativity. At the moment only Maxwell, Bowler and Lavery are performing at championship level. It’s been a great bit of recruitment to lock in Lavery and Bowler for the future of our rising club.Well my prediction is bottom 6 and it may take splashing the cash in January to avoid a return to league 1. Gosh, I didn’t realise people still had black and white tellysI think this is fairly clear cut, face rather than arm:
The important thing to note being that the ball has come up and out from Max's hand rather than directly in from the right.
And this time last season you said we were League Two standard and would end up there.I'm not so sure that the injury prone Stewart & Dougall will be anything like as influential at this level. The whole squad is league1 level and that's down to Critchley, the recruitment team and insufficient spending power.
I thought I'd unignore you for a change. And this time last season you said we were League Two standard and would end up there.
Thank God you're consistent.
Good read.I wasn't sure about the goal being handball, as it was at the far end of the pitch, but, having seen the replays it was pretty obvious it was a handball, IMHO.
That aside, we were lethargic compared to Coventry, they were two steps ahead, in their thinking, closing down and positioning. Where they were quick and agile, we were ponderous and slow. Time and again a pass was intercepted by a Coventry player who was on hand to take the ball, whereas our players waited for the ball to come to them.
Throw-ins were a perfect example of indecision, no one moving to take a ball, statues awaiting the ball, which was bread and butter for the Coventry lads.
With three left-backs on the pitch, how did their right winger have so much space all the way through the match, he was often by himself, unmarked? Where did the goal come from? The right. A full back whether left or right should close down a threat.
We got what we deserved on the night, nothing. Chances were missed, passes were frequently cut out, our decisions were poor and our defending was diabolical.
I'm sorry to say, but after the two matches I've seen, we are presently not good enough for the championship.
Come on Blackpool, prove that I'm wrong, make me eat my words. Go and beat Bournemouth, where I expect us to get a good tanking. There is still loads of time to put things right, but it is blatantly obvious that it needs doing and needs doing now.
We even got pulled up for a foul throw last night, how on earth does that happen in professional football? The way we play the first person to the throw in should take it. Loads of times last night we pondered then it gave them chance to set up.
Still 12 days to go. I'll let you know on 1 September after the window has closed. To pass judgement before that would be knee jerk at best, and potentially foolish.I thought I'd unignore you for a change.
Of course I'm consistent and, as we stand, we could well make a swift return to league 1. What are your views on this summer's recruitment in terms of meeting the challenge of the championship?
Have said all summer - when we had the squad we had last season we were good enough for the Championship but we have weakened that squad with every player who has gone and every player we've brought in (Lavery and Bowler aside). For all people laud Ben Mansford, I think letting Tommy Johnson go and having no clear transfer structure over summer (I mean the right back position says it all) is negligible.I'm sorry to say, but after the two matches I've seen, we are presently not good enough for the championship.
