……if we get relegated which in my opinion is quite likely (only the maths are stopping me from giving up) I think BM and/or WHOEVER is responsible for recruiting a person to manage our beloved tangerines should take heed of this message. I hate that expression in football that sometimes a team comes back stronger after being relegated. I really do. But, I want to bring smiles and excitement and positivity back to all our fans. we want to see good attractive football, a plucky Blackpool team that scores goals like Bob Hatton did, and a tiger in midfield like Billy Ronson. I just want the best for all our great fans. We used to be the cream of the Lancashire crop. easing past all our rivals. Bring those days back again. So, and incidentally I feel very strongly about this, go out and make Nathan Jones an offer he CANNOT refuse. Mr Jones is no stranger to league 1 whatsoever and I am totally convinced this man would take us up, probably automatically, and more than likely emulate what he’s done at Luton (I for one would take that situation in a heartbeat right now) I suggested this to a supporter last night and he said ”yeah but he’s not a nice man is he ?” Bollox to that. GET THIS MAN HERE NOW. He would thrive at a club like ours, believe me.

Good positive post 👍 👍

Id love Nathan Jones to come, would be perfect for us. The club would NEED to back him though and not just empty promises.

Have to say I'm not a massive Nathan Jones fan. I don't particularly like his fairly direct style of play and lack of possession and I don't think it's an attractive style either although tbf I am a fan of his teams pressing which is always very good. As for him as a guy, he might be great as our gaffer but comes across as a horrible little man with an opposition team 😂.
For me I'd want a manager who wants control of a game and wants his team to have the ball. Whichever way the board go though they need to be all in on it and not flip flop between different styles

How on earth has this season all gone t**s up?
It has been a calamity both off (recruitment of coaches & players) and on the field. Game by game, it's now akin to death by a thousand cuts!
When we fall through the trap door (which sadly with 1 league win in 17 appears inevitable), I respectfully suggest to SS that he needs to conduct a root & branch review (a post mortem, after the season we've had!) of the club, to ensure our future is bright tangerine.
I started to compile a list of points to cover, but then thought better of it, as that's well beyond my role as a humble, lifelong supporter & insulting to a successful businessman.
We're not down yet & I expect us to fight until the maths say we are. But do we have to be realistic & not rely on blind faith.

Thanks everyone, great points there. In my very humble opinion I think mr Appleton has a lot to answer for really. Bringing the mood down, changing our winning mentality, affecting a dismal tone around Bloomfield rd with no realistic optimism ahead. I hung my head in my hands when he was appointed but, people on here and my son rightly proclaimed that he should be given a chance, and I did. No, he was NEVER the right man for us. Oh yes, how I would love us to regularly control games from minute 1 to 90 with a solid back line and accurately pass the ball in the middle of the park (sadly lacking) and yes (please not the firing squad) I STILL dont think the Branagan saga is irretrievable. After the humiliating defeat at Middlesbrough where we were completely overwhelmed for probably 85 mins I mentioned this and a lad said “it’s the coaching”. And that really made me think. This is so important. This has to be one of the key elements to maintain credibility on the pitch and to be organised, skilful, exciting, and winning ! Mr Jones may not favour possession football, I don’t know, but many many years ago I remember us winning at Derby. They massacred our goal. it was like the Alamo. it was one of the finest counter attacking displays I have EVER seen from a Blackpool team. John Deary masterminded the midfield and Eamon Okeefe converted two sumptuous penalties past the hapless Mark Wallington. 0-2. Classic stuff. That’ll do for me cocker !!

Nathan Jones having been at Southampton will not want to come to Blackpool in League One
They should have invested in January to ensure Championship survival and then he might have come.
P.S. Nasty w***er from what I've heard.
