O/T AVFTT Poker Night

Just thinking about the idea of bringing other fans in. I believe there is a section in the Home Games part of Stars that allows you to keep track of results, and allocates points depending on where you finished that week? (might be wrong, I'm no expert, but I THINK that's the case?) If everyone declares who they support beforehand, we can have a league table where the points gained would tot up over the course of say 8 weeks or something? (say 10 to the weekly winner, 7 for 2nd, then 6, then 5,4,3,2,1 for the top 8 finishers).
So we'd have an overall winner of the League (an individual person), and a Team winner - bit like Formula One where they have the main winner, who's a driver, and a Team Championship running alongside? Obviously it would be skewed towards Blackpool because there'll be so many more of us, but it's only for fun!!
 
I'm going to be putting the game up soon. I'll also pop on a few forums and say that AVFTT are inviting people to our game tonight at 8PM.

I'll invite the Boro lot. Any other requests?

Agree with that, the add-on would also double the pot. It's always tricky though because some of the other weeks have been a tad too long (for me!), but with the speed of the blinds at 5 mins then Id imagine it would be around 3 hours a game?

And thanks to Kurt, although I think it was Kurt who was getting upset at me for checking on a pair of deuces!
 
Was trying to stream tonight's tournament, but Poker Stars kept crashing on me. Need to set up my second monitor and maybe next week we can have at least one table shown live if people fancy watching.
 
well played shoulders!! You fought back hard on a good few occasions there to win it!! SonofTam, I actually took the liberty of recording the action from the last 4 onwards...if anybody fancies having a watch and seeing my style of play lol, with my sh!tty commentary - and so long as none of the last 4 players mind me doing so - i'll post it up somewhere?

Cheers penguins, pleased I won especially after the 7k add-on didn't work for me!

Good game, just shame on turnout. I think the length of time a month or so ago maybe put some off? I finished 4th once and it was after midnight. Last week was just over 2 hours and this was under 2 hours so maybe if people know they will come back for a go?

Wasn’t aware of the recordings. I’m happy for anything with me to be posted out. How did you record? Want to try streaming so maybe try and see in the week ahead of next Friday. I’ll have to find somewhere to set up shop! 😂
 
unfortunately the commentary wasn't recording! shame because I thought it was quite entertaining having my explanation of why i was making some of my moves at the times I did!! Never mind, but it turns it into a pretty boring video!! If anyone is offended by me posting this, just let me know and i'll take it down straight away. See you next week lads, thanks again.
 
I'm not very techy, so apologies if this sounds stupid, lol, but you hold down that little windows-y button and press G - then it comes up with a menu for recording video of the tournament. I thought it defaults to recording your voice as well as the sounds of the poker itself, maybe i knocked that off accidentally, i don't know, maybe you need to click it somewhere to get that too. Pretty easy to do though. It's a shame though because my comments explain my thought process, but hey ho, what can you do, too late now!!

I can screen record on my windows through OBS which is good software for streaming. Will have a look this week at how to set something up and make it fancy ahead of next week. Great work 👌🏻
 
I will see about setting it up next week...let me know what days/time people want to try...I would say Friday is ok and maybe another night...Monday?
 
I think I've cracked it - if you fancy still playing boys. £5.50 entry, 5 minute blinds, 5,000 starting stack, 30 minute rebuy period for those losing all their chips in that time, £5 addon after that.
