Whilst all the focus is on the Ashes, worth noting Lancs are back in action. Lancs currently 203-7.

Already know that Parkinson and Lamb are going at the end of the season but now Jones is also leaving. All 3 have not been stars recently but all have had plenty of game time. Can the youngsters like Bell, Balderson, Aspinwall, Lavelle, Morley, Singh etc take the next step or do we need proven quality injecting into the squad?

Lancs currently 309 for 9, a second batting point.

Bailey out this morning without adding to his overnight score of 75, but Balderson is on 107 not out.

Excellent knock, and a great recovery after lancs were 150 for 7 at one stage.

Josh Bohannon is driving me insane he bats like Viv Richards until he reaches 30 runs then bats like Viv out of the Young Ones after.

Close of play Lancs182-6 a lead of 297. 1 day left, rain forecast for most of the day

In the 2nd division, Worcs score 178 and 169, both all out and still win by 100 runs!

Only just seen this thread . . . like the Ashes a real shame the weather took over here.

With another draw and Surrey & Essex winning I think our faintest chances of winning the CC have gone.

Jones and Lamb were always ion the periphery of the first team and it makes sense for them to move on. We have some great talent coming through like Balderston & Bell.

I can't see Vilas lasting another season so maybe an opportunity to bring in a player of real quality ?
