O/T Fence Panels

Hi Guys

Can any of you recommend a good local supplier of fence panels who is happy to deliver and help me slot a new replacement panel in, or maybe one of you supplies them ? I need a standard 6ft by 5 foot panel

Thanks

I got a couple of quotes and Jimmy White fencing were the best price offered.
£50 per panel incl. labour and taking away the used panels.

Suppose it depends on the number of panel number & their sizes, but that was the price I got for about a dozen panels fitted.

Workshop DIY in Thornton are cheap and deliver locally. I'm sure they'd help slot them in too if you asked.
I rang them and they would deliver, the price was great £29.99 but they won't help me slot it in and I can't do it on my own because I tore my left biceps 10 years ago and it's not strong enough 😕

I used Jimmy White myself last week , I got a 6x6 closeboard, which are stronger than the wayney lap panels, they were £45 each , 6x5 would be £40 each.
£10 delivery plus £5 to have they put the panel in & took the one away.
Think the wayney lap for 6x5 are £35 but I preferred to pay slightly more for the stronger panel.
Fantastic service, will use in the future.

Lee, I would certainly recommend heavy duty panels mate, although you will pay a tad more for them
I have always used a company called Cocklestorm who are based in Radcliffe although they will deliver and fit them.
Although if it’s only one panel then it wouldnt be cost effective
If you are a bit of a handyman you can easily make your own panel.
Some 4 x 2 tantalised struts for the framework and then treated featherboard (either vertical or horizontal) and bobs your uncle.

Thanks for that I can imagine it is quite easy but one thing I'm definitely not is a handyman 😂🤣😂

If Mick’s not tall enough Lee give me a shout and I will give u a hand.

Just fitted 4 at Rox Towers - what a ballache that was btw …. 😔🤣

I used to lose 2 or 3 panels every winter. A mate gave me a tip 5 years ago and I’ve not lost any since. You need long cable ties that are long enough to go around the concrete posts and through holes that you drill in the top and bottom corner (one hole each top and bottom corner). Not lost a single panel since, and we’ve had some big storms over the last 5 years.

We replaced all ours in lockdown with heavy duty double sided, one of the best things I’ve done, all neighbours chipped in so all matching

I was fed up with our being larch panels being continually blown out in windy weather and next doors dog using the opportunity to run round our garden 💩ing evert where.
It's the side where technically it's their responsibility however I've always gone half on any cost.
Last time it happened I got a quote for vertical panels and he baulked at it, got his mate to put in 3 larch panels that lasted 2 months.
I got the whole side replaced with concrete bases and vertical panels. They've never offered a penny, and my only regret is I wish thst I had put it a foot higher 🤣
