o/t How much sleep do you get?

around 6 hours a night, but then some of the comments on here also send me to sleep. zzzzzzzzzzz

I have found that getting off to sleep is much easier after having a glass of warm (not hot) MILK, half hour before retiring.
After that I usually have four sessions of sleep each roughly 2 hourly with three pee intervals in between, which I find ok

5ish hours a night, any more and I feel like shit the next day, because I'm a weirdo.

I do love a nap mind.

Last Friday woke at 3pm from 8am, night shift, got ready for work but had a positive LFT so didn't go in and went for PCR test instead. Went back to bed at 10:30pm and slept through till 10am wtf - Mrs Benny thought I had passed in the night 😱. Never really had a problem with sleep but I do like to go late as a rule and sleep late into the morning and I'm 57 - just a lazy git I suppose 🥱🥱😴😴😴
You've got to be older than 57.
Must have had a bloody big paper round kid🤣🤣🤣

I did shift work for 15 years. Earlies, lates and night shift.
Only the nights were 7 day (night) shift, the rest being mixed up.
Could be early day followed by a late etc. Very mixed hours.
I was a bad sleeper, get home after a night shift and would only sleep for 2/3 hours before getting up again.
Of course the bonus was that we had a 20% shift allowance plus time and a half for Saturdays and double time for Sundays.
Worked 4 out 5 Sundays.🤣🤣
Forgot, double time on Bank Holidays too. 👍
Those 7 day (night) runs were great though once you'd done a couple

Lived with my mum when I did them, got in bed and woke up with my tea on tbe table

Did you get the 6 days off afterwards

Ockers, No we never had any days off like that. Just the weekend, finish Friday morning and back lates on Monday.
Starting night shift wasn't good. Sometimes late Thursday, early Friday and back on nights Friday night.
Whoever devised that roster was an idiot, or a torturer.
Probably never worked on a roster. 😾
I'm talking about Luton Airport. Sometimes we were lucky and had no, or only one or two, night flights, so we got our head down.
We had foldaway chairs which expanded full length.
However, only dozed really, because there were other noises. No I don't mean farting, although there was plenty of that. 🤣
