Per the Guardian, Lancs dropped 7 catches in the Somerset inning.

You cannot get near winning the CC with stats like that.

And unless things change very quickly, we are not going to get near winning it this year.

By Sunday, we will have played over a third of the CC season….

Just to expand on the previous comment, in the last 4 games (including this one), we have taken four wickets in the opposition’s first innings three times before they reached 80. On the other one the oppo fourth wicket fell at 100.

But we consistently allow the oppo to get too many first innings runs from those positions.

And from there, it’s an uphill task to score enough runs to get a decent lead in quick enough time given the current weather.

And whilst Lancs have been affected by bad weather, to my way of thinking they are not being hit significantly worse overall than others.

Glad I didn't pay today, feel sorry for the spectators. Somerset still batting 333-5, a lead of 368. Lancs used 9 bowlers including wicket-keeper Bell, Vilas and Croft! Already a sizeable gap to Surrey and Warks.

Anderson didn't bowl 2nd inns, but I'm sure he'll play against Ireland 2 weeks Thursday. And then only 2 weeks to the Ashes. Can't wait.
