O/T - Mobile Phone Contracts

Any recommendations for a new mobile phone contract provider?

I've been with Three UK for over a decade and they've always been great until they lied to me this morning to try and scam money out of me by saying that I need to buy additional data as I have run out but they have also confirmed in a call regarding this that I have 3 gigabytes of data left and my plan resets tomorrow.

Looking for a plan that includes about 30 GB of data and offers a Samsung Galaxy phone. Ideally around £30-35 a month

I switched to Sky mobile and it’s the best thing I’ve done. Excellent deals on phones, excellent signal as they use O2 network and any unused data is piggy banked to use in future months if you run out

Buy your own phone, then just buy a contract monthly, £6 or 8 will get unlimited minutes (giff gaff, Lebara, Lyca etc) and texts, plus 10gb data? Buy a Samsung s21plus refurbished on Amazon for £200

S21? Sounds a bit of an antique and wouldn't want refurb as I'd Never know who that will be journeyfested mitts all over it before

Asda (I know…) contracts use the Vodafone network which is one of the most extensive in the UK. Less than a tenner for SIMM-only.

Another for Lebara (Vodafone) in disguise. I’ve had no problems at all. View attachment 18956
Lebara appear to only do Sim only plans which isn't what I'm looking for as I'm looking to upgrade my phone to a newer Samsung Galaxy s20 something to better integrate with my Samsung Galaxy watch 6 than my Google Pixel 6A currently does. But thanks anyway

I'm with iD mobile who use the Three network. £7 a month for 25Gb. Just go on Uswitch, there's loads of choice for sim only. Good signal in South stand too 👍

Love the antiquated bit 😂 but Amazon, guarantee them for a year, & in most cases they are just unsold new stock, I always get new/used phones, currently on a Pixel 6 Pro, & can recommend..... & you can get them for under £200

Well, as far as I'm concerned it is a little out of date as it's approximately the same age as the phone. Looking to replace, a pixel 6A, I'm mainly drawn to the Samsung s23 as it would appear to integrate better with my Samsung Galaxy smartwatch and rather than buying a new phone every 2 years, I'd rather keep all my telephony needs within one contract. I would have been more than happy to keep my contract with three had it not been for their disgraceful attempt to scam money from my account this morning. Had they apologised for this, I would have been quite happy to continue my contract with them and although they offered me extra data and compensation of more than the amount they attempted to scam, I'm not interested in that as it's not about the money or the data but rather their ethics or rather complete lack of them
