Northern rail with tickets from 50p.
Handy for folk travelling up to games in September/ October.
Will be a bargain for the Yorkshire Seasiders and maybe a cheap option for Barnsley away.

Just bought Liverpool to Blackpool £2 return for Reading game.

Wonderful. However, Huddersfield (my nearest station, and for some others) is top of the league nationally for trains cancelled.

When you have Northern and TransPennine as the only options you're stuffed.

Huddersfield going to be closed for months next year for rebuilding work too.

Discounts don’t apply to some lines. The one from Yorkshire is a “captive audience” so the deals are rarely applied on that line.

I’m on the direct Halifax to Blackpool line so often no good but I will look at splitting

I've got £3 return for me and my son from Liverpool to Blackpool for the Reading and Stevenage games. Nothing doing on Barnsley from what I could see unfortunately - cheaper going via Sheffield than on Northern Rail.
With Reading (h), Barnsley (a), Charlton (a) and Stevenage (h) on consecutive weekends I can imagine at least one potential train journey will be wiped out by strikes

You can do it for £20 (return) without railcard via Leeds.

Cheapest out now is £11.50 and return for £1 from Leeds.
Lots of cheap options from Leeds to Barnsley.

That’s our train too… can’t see any for 2 quid though?

I can imagine the next round of strikes being first week of October particularly planned to hit the Tory party conference in Manchester. That’s the rumour at the min.

Wouldn’t rule out 30 September either to be honest - as the party starts on 1 October.

That article is misleading. I can’t find one point where it says ASLEF and RMT won’t strike again in September. Surely it’s just they haven’t got any planned yet.

Hope it’s not Oct 6th/ 7th.
We play Charlton away and many booked advance tickets for game and River Cruise.
