Surprised no thread on this before now.

Yet another amazing day..... I thought I had missed a day when I saw "England had declared!" 325 runs in 60 odd overs, that is ridiculous and then get 3 wickets for 37. We are turning test cricket on its head and it's great to see.

Forgot about this.

Highlights on BT S1 4.30

Yeah, I missed it to. Maybe for the better as I fell asleep on the sofa and woke up about 1:30am. Last thing I would have needed was cricket to watch...

Compelling stuff this bazball. Even Mac would like it.

306 all out
Jimmy takes his 3rd wicket, the 678th of his career.

Blundell c&b Anderson 138

He's only 30 wickets behind Shane Warne, he'd become the second highest wicket taker in test history (already the highest of any pace Bowler by over 100).

Muralitheran 800
Warne 708
Anderson 678
Will he get to 700? Probably. 709?

He's only got so long left as you'd think this new England won't be sentimental and pick him just for the 700.

Last season I'd imagine and 8 tests to do it. Good luck Jimmy with injuries etc

Neither Sky nor BBC even mentioned it until last night so I’d forgotten it was happening.
Just watching now as Duckett goes out.
52-1 off 9 overs.

I love Baz ball

It's incredible and is changing Test cricket for the better. It's a shame it's a day/nighter because the timing to watch it is shit.

Watched the last hour. Absolutely masterclass again by Englands seamers. Just lethal in these type of conditions.
If we can get Wood fit and even maybe Archer for those tests on flat lifeless pitches, we’ve sure got weapons

I’m strongly against day/night matches. Test matches are played in different conditions all the time but it’s usually random and has always been a part of the game. Now it’s creating a totally different game when the lights come on.

T20 World Cup for Women England v India game at 1pm for those interested.

A win today for the English girls and a semi final place pretty much assured. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

That's a great point, about being the highest ever fast bowler wicket taker.
He is amazing to keep going on at his age, and still taking vital wickets.
Must be a Knighthood when he retires (eventually).

Huge win and another statement win.
Just had quick tour of the Kensington Oval in Barbados . Great place, the taxi driver said it is mental when the Barmy Army are in town.

Another great performance . . pretty much the same group of players but a totally different approach.

English test great has been pretty dull for years but since the appointment of Rob Key that's all changed.
