O/T Windscreen Scratches

I had some bird shit on my car's windscreen and it went hard. To remove it I ended up using a green washing up scourer. The result is a circle of hairline scratches in the middle of the windscreen. They don't actually feel like scratches at all but they are a distraction and I do need to get rid of them if possible.

Any suggestions? I've tried Windolene without success. A Youtube video suggested teeth whitening toothpaste. That seems to have made it worse.

All serious suggestions gratefully received.

Yeah if you are going down the diy route ,do a test on a lower corner of the screen (out of line of sight) just to be sure it works.Or go through your insurance they might do it for £10 like windscreen chips.

Those green scourers are vicious. They will easily scratch stainless steel, like your sink or dishwasher door, and glass.
