Official I'm a Celebrity thread

Well I can honestly say I’ve never heard of anyone of these contestants apart from Nige. ☺️

Edit
No there’s 2 now Fred the French chef.

I love the fact that as I have no preconceived ideas of that many of them (I'm too old to know most of them so far) I can enjoy the show for how they behave in the jungle.

I've just read that Nigel Farage is getting £1.5m for it; I wonder whether those who don't like his political opinions will avoid the show?

I wouldn’t fancy any of it. Not sure I’d be up for eating kangaroo testicles, blended or not 🦘
Don‘t actually think 1.5 million would draw me in 😳
Honestly, most of the trials wouldn't worry me; I'm not remotely bothered by insects or snakes - perhaps the rats would get the primitive shudder going, but you'd expect them not be carrying the bubonic plague - even in Australia!

But that challenge there had my stomach in knots just watching it. Even knowing I was safe, I'm not convinced I could do it. My heart is still pounding as I type this 🤣

£1.5m would help but it would still take it out of me.

Britney Spears' sister - really??

Great thread. I was gonna do it for the guaranteed ton but it felt like cheating.

Needless to say My Boys will make it briliiant viewing 👍
I actually checked both boards a couple of times to make sure I want duplicating a thread as I know you are the champion of The Boys on here.

Farage has a nose for where the money is.

Not watched it for years, its had its time about 10 years ago but in true TV rinse and repeat its gets the arse ripped out of it (see also x factor, britains got talent, the apprentice etc) Let me guess , there will be trials involving sticking hands in holes with snakes, eating kangaroos bollocks and being chucked in a box that gets filled with creepy crawlies.

Indeed

There's about as much chance of me watching any of it as there is of Hell freezing over

actually, there's even less chance than that, probably about as much chance as PNE reaching the Premier League
I must admit I’ve rarely watched it in the past but I managed to sit through it last night for the full hour.
It’s times like this you don’t realise how much you are adrift from reality TV and music as like I said earlier apart from Nige and Fred I didn’t know anyone else in the camp.
And as for Brittany Spears sister being famous for her singing and acting career has anyone actually heard or seen her on TV? Certainly not me. 🤷‍♂️
You just know poor Nige is going to be picked for every bush tucker trial i think he’s going to be another Matt Hancock on that SAS programme in that he's going to be a hard as nails bloke.
I really do hope he wins it just to see the reaction of some people on here I really do. ☺️

Didn't realise Shitney's sister was in it and didn't know she was a singer too (assuming what Shitney does can be called singing), assuming its the same sister, I vaguely recall about 15 years ago reading that she got knocked up at 16

I think what's interesting as I watched it again this morning on catch up; there's been less outright nastiness towards Nigel Farage that there was towards Matt Hancock.

Whether that is because his greatest political achievement is back in 2016 so some of the people there would barely know him (unlike Matt Hancock who was fresh out of saving us in Covid) or because they agree with his politics, or because they are a nicer bunch, or who knows, agree with him - I do think it's interesting.

There's time yet; but it might lend itself to be a decent few weeks if he's able to show what he's actually like, rather than the media caricature which is painted of him.

ITV are probably overjoyed he's in there as he will keep the public interested (well most of them and not the miserable few on here, feel the need to tell us they aren't watching it because it's crap - bizarre).

We said the same about Farage getting less hate than Hancock.
Think it’s purely what Hancock did during lockdown and how the public perceive him to have failed the country whilst he was health secretary during the pandemic. Plus that was still an open and ongoing wound for many.

I don’t watch the show….I’ve always considered you to be one of this forums more balanced contributors, forgive me for asking but ….is everything ok with you?………you watched it AGAIN on catch up🙈😉😂

A true psychic, will we win on Saturday

Viewing figures 2.5 million down on last year.

Thank you for such a funny observation. Genuinely made me laugh out loud.

I sent my youngest son to bed before the end of the show last night (school night, after stopping out at his mates house on Saturday night).

He wanted to see the end of it this morning, so we watched it together.

It's probably not going to be a regular thing as the clock is a bit disorienting.

Funny that nearly this whole thread is from people telling us how shite the show is. Bet every single one is watching it otherwise you just wouldn't post on the thread.

There are loads of threads subjects I have no interest in so I just leave them alone. It would take a very special kind of sad act to go onto a thread to declare to people that you don't like what they are discussing.

I'm not watching and won't be throughout.

I presume you're being humerous... Hancock didn't save anything. He's a self serving tosser who helped put the country under Chinese style restrictions that he himself didn't believe in or follow. There's many things he's in part responsible for, many very serious and damaging, but I'll also never forgive him that I couldn't go to Wembley to sit outside and watch Blackpool get promoted. Some of the rules were utter crap, ridiculous and again, he didn't follow them himself.

Farage on the other hand is a guy many do like, can get on with anyone. Says some controversial but true things but also says things as he sees them. He gets unnecessarily attacked by many lefty losers for things most agree with.

Shows how sad some can be though with all this organised boycott crap. I cant imagine that happening the other way round with a controversial figure on the left. People who've already made their mind up rather than watch with an open mind or just enjoy the show.

I haven't watched it for years but might have a look to see how NF fits in.

Hancock is an utter c**t and when he was on SAS you could see the SAS guys just wanted to beat the shit out of him, he is an arrogant, horrible politician who has a face that says punch me.

Farage is total c**t too but he is far more charming than Hancock.

Nelagel did well tonight though, she is hilarious.

In America he was interviewed 6 separate times by the guy who said the Sandy Hook massacre never happened and was a Government conspiracy.

He also took Putin's side in the early days of the Ukrainian war before realising he was put of step with popular opinion.

Know a man by his company, I believe the phrase is. He mixes and is funded by some shady people.

I'm having dinner with Lord Mandleson this week - don't be too harsh 🤣🤣🤣

Edited to add: Guacamole ought to be on the menu, but I bet it's not!!
