Officiating

He hasn’t got one decision wrong. He’s got three. And to be honest it’s simply unacceptable. I’d be writing a public letter to the EFL after this. Same on Wednesday too with Madine.

The fact that they won’t implement VAR into the whole of the football league or goal line technology or even just having an extra official either side of the pitch to see if the ball goes in or not is criminal

Really simple things that once again the FA and EFL seem to be oblivious to

Struggled to keep up with play, he was blowing out of his arse after ten minutes, must make it hard to be able to concentrate and make correct decisions because not only did he screw the big ones up, he got virtually every decision wrong tonight. Totally inept from the entire officiating crew tonight.

Read a good piece about why this is not implemented last week and it basically boiled down to not enough officials being qualified to the appropriate standards

How was the Machine offside anyway, they had a man on the goal line??

& how right at the end did the ref give the machine offside, when the linesman stood there?

Also Gabriel should have had two corners & a penalty...

It beggars belief, nearly as incompetant/bent as Walton v The Scum in the prem...

In this league is absolutely ** atrocious, every week is not even an over exaggeration.

** embarrassing. Ball was a foot over the line, before Madine touched it, Gabriel wiped out when skinning there defender.

Disgusting
That linesman rather than the ref overturned the goal, even though he never raised his flag for offside. Also had the best view of assault in the penalty box.

He was in front of the goalie, so just the one player in front of him. It was offside, but had gone a foot over the line before touching the ball. Linesman didn’t have a clear view so how can he talk the ref away from his original decision.

Ref was weak not to give a red card and weak to believe the linesman who essentially guessed.
NC nailed it with his post match comments

The ref was woeful and not just major decisions. Kept bringing us back for free kicks, as we moved forward with the ball second half.
It does make you wonder who decides these blokes are Championship standard.

The linesman knew it was a goal otherwise he would have raised his flag straight away.
The ref should have gone over to him to clarify it.

Yep just seen it back, absolute joke.

Plus looked like the keepers leg was playing madine on anyway so wasn't offside.

But yeah way over the line.

Thick tosser of a linesman and a clueless ref.

How is their keeper taking out Gabriel not a red, is him running past him to put the ball in an open net not a goal scoring opportunity?

Clueless.

What was the one for on the last minute when Carey was through and about to square it it? Liner didn’t give offside then red blew and gave offside an pointed to a player that was nowhere near the ball!

Not to mention the goal, penalty we should of had or the red their keeper should of had. I’m fuming.

I often wonder if they should have a subs bench for referees, so that if one is having a shocker, he can be replaced at half-time

There were 2 or 3 occasions, affecting both teams, when the ball had clearly gone out for a throw in and the west side liner didn’t flag.

The thing that really annoys me about the goal, if he is offside (which he was) and he touches the ball before it goes in (which he didn’t) then why did it take the best part of 30 seconds to put the flag up??!! Surely the liner knows straight away if it’s a goal or not? Even just a couple of seconds thinking time is alright, but the players had virtually finished celebrating and were going back to position for a kick off when the flag went up!!

Embarrassed on live TV.

Yep another bizarre one.

Total clown.
