Old East & South stand videos

Just prior to the old East & South stand being demolished two separate videos were taken walking around the stands.

I know the backing music on one of the videos was Keane - Bedshaped

I thought they would have been uploaded to YouTube, but I cannot find them, as I was wanting to show my boy what the old ground looked like.
The only other place I may have seen them was on the old another view from the tower forum.

Both the South stand and East stand videos were made in the style of this ……..

Anyone recollect them ?

cheers in advance

I did the filming around 2003 at an open evening before the stands were demolished. I later included them in b&w on a DVD with rare/archive Blackpool footage. The clips were low resolution but originally in colour. I'll have a look and try and get them uploaded in HD to the INOIT YouTube channel (same one as the Spion Kop one).

Peter.

That would be fabulous if that could be done, Peter.
As dilapidated as the South and East stands were , they were my childhood home from home.
I remember watching your videos with a smile on my face and a tear in my eye.

The East stand had a lovely vibe - being able to look round the loo wall if the crowd got up and it sounded like we might score, the tea urn arriving at half time and that halfway line cheap ticket. Hoping that when the day comes sections of home crowd will be allowed back there.

Ok finally edited the clips together. (I also used the original sound track again just seemed appropriate now and as when I first chose it).

So these are a series of short walkthrough's of the South Stand and East Paddocks (Scratching Shed) 2003 Bloomfield Road, Blackpool FC.

A walk through of the South Stand including changing room and players tunnel and from the North-west corner of the East Paddocks in 2003 prior to demolition.

The walkthrough series of clips was featured in b&w on the Seasiders DVD's some years ago. Those were originally in colour and have been upscaled to HD here.

Also original 1979 Ground footage of Bloomfield Road originally recorded on film by William Gibson. This was part of a series of football grounds shot on super 8 film which I digitised on his behalf and uploaded to the football grounds website back in 2008. The original clip of Bloomfield Road has been upscaled.

Thanking you so kindly for editing this.
Time for a History lesson with my little lad.

Will Gibson recorded a number of games between Blackpool and Tranmere all in colour on silent Super 8 film. Possibly from 1979 onwards. There is some edited match footage between Blackpool and Tranmere from 28 December 1982 which I included in this section on the Dave Serella video.

Wow , thanks for putting that up, that walk up the steps in the south into the stand, feels like yesterday.

I remember there was a game right around that time where Crewe were going for promotion (to the youngsters it could always be worse, I grew up envying Crewe) and we gave them the south. Weird atmosphere with them being way back from the pitch.

I never got to experience it in its pomp, just in its crumbling twilight but I miss the place dearly.
