Oldest Season Ticket Holder

Well done and good luck to him.
I would like to meet him.
I am a mere 86 next month.
Did he go to the '53 FA Cup Final?
His first game was in 1946 against Chelsea…ive just checked it out, it was November and a 1-0 win for the Pool with Jimmy Blair the scorer. He moved back to Morecambe after leaving the Navy and went to a few Preston games too to see Finney, but it was the atmosphere at Bloomfield Road that drew him in…he remembers before the games or at half time, Syd Beavers would bring a duck onto the pitch and chase it into the net and the crowd would cheer. He didn’t get to see any of the FA cup finals, but did manage to go to WC final in 66. He has some brilliant footballing and non-footballing stories and im proud to call him my Grandpa 👍

Unbelievable, should get it for free, certainly some sort of recognition by the club
Totally agree as a member of 3 fishing clubs anyone who reaches the age of 80 in two of them and 85 in the other it’s free membership providing the person has been in the club a minimum of 10 years.
Why can’t football clubs do the same?

Perhaps he can be guest of honour in hospitality for one match or even be presented on the pitch to the crowd before a match? Certainly deserves some recognition

My Grandad has been watching the Pool since the 50's and has had a season ticket for over 50 years (except during NAPM.) He's just renewed for the upcoming season together with the rest of us. He will be 97 in October. Can he lay claim to being the oldest current season ticket older ?
Good for him.
I hope I still have a ST when I'm his age.
Why has he only watched them since the 50s?
My 1st game was about 1942/3.

I got the 50’s bit wrong . Im sure he told me his first game was in 46. We sit in M block. Come and say hello on Saturday if you are near by ?

I’ve seen your grandad. I sit a few rows in front in M block. I take my dad who’s a sprightly 86! He doesn’t post on here though. My dad sits in L block.

It would be interesting to see what the first BFC season ticket looked like. I assume it was in a book stapled together?
It was 23 stone tablets, with an extra one for 10% off in Ye Olde Club Shoppe and one for free entry into the Central League fixtures. 😂
I've still got the stubs kicking around somewhere 🤣
(I think Preston won the league that year lol lol)
