Thought our new skipper was different class today and exactly what we have been missing for years, gets stuck in, calm on the ball, always looking to find space to help his team mates and in the refs ear about every decision. Imo he was the best player on the pitch today (obviously alongside Lavery who took both his goals well). If we had Norburn last season we would still be in the championship.

He looked way too good for Lg1 today. I noticed he was holding his hammy before he went off after overstretching in a tackle, hopefully just a tweak. Can’t see him playing at Derby we need to keep him fit.

Proved yesterday he was a brilliant signing. A couple more additions this month and we could be a force in this division.

Thought his calmness on the ball and the way he picked a pass out was exactly what we need to break down L1 teams from just hoofing it
Some of the interceptions he made were exceptional, Burton didn't know what to do when he was on the ball.
First time in ages we haven't just played head tennis in mid-field and he got it down on the ground and made some great passes.

Very excited to watch him.

If we had him last season, and he played like he did on Saturday then I think we stay up.

Can’t remember the last time one of our centre midfielders threw themselves into a 50/50 properly - as good as Patino is technically, you need the gritty side too.

I live in Westhoughton Approx 6 miles from Burnden park…. His pen landed on my front lawn…..
See, just shows what rubbish gets talked on here. The generally accepted explanation was that it was still in orbit somewhere. Now we know it was obviously coming back down for quite some time
