Ollie and Dobbie

It’s worth a try. Einstein said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expect a different result and hasn’t Appy had enough chances to turn it round.
Agree. 3peaks. Appy has to go. We've seen all that he has to offer, he's not gonna change his style or approach. Pay him off, contact Ollie, get him in for the Udders game with Dobs. New start, wouldn't wait any longer and get a couple of decent CBs in, maybe consider our 2 CBs who are loaned out atm. No brainer happy days.

Sadler, if you're reading this chuck your inhibitions in the bin, admit you are shite at employing managers and pot Appleton and go and get Ollie who is itching to get back into management and go get Thommo and promote Dobbie. Give them till the end of the season and if they fuck it up then get rid, but if they keep us up give them a proper long term contract and let the fun begin.

Well said Hertford UTMP IOWT (In Ollie We Trust)

What is this absolute nonsense, should we get Charlie and Vaughan back in whilst we’re at it?

Just because you have some sentimental attachment to these players/managers doesn’t make them a good choice to get us out of a relegation scrap.

What's your solution to our predicament TT?

Sorry but we need a new person to take the helm. Crappleton has proved he can’t handle the championship, Holloway is not an option for me. Let’s find a young and hungry coach with a point to prove.

We don't need a rookie, we need some experience and charisma and someone who can lift the whole place, why can't Ollie do that? I'd say Evo but that boat has long sailed.

It's literally madness & they expect to have their opinion taken seriously 😂😂

I'd give it Bloomfield bear, I just want someone to jump about on the sideline.

All this football managers doing a managers job is shit. Let's get old players with no experience to help us out a situation crying for experience.

Maybe Holloway who fucked us off the minute he could.

Are you happy with Apples, KZ? If not, who do you think would do a better job?

Holloway is starting to make a whole lot of sense, and I was one for not going back.

I can't see any sign of improvement with Appleton. He continues to send out laughably lightweight midfields and has no idea who his front 3 are or how to get them working together. We are half way through the season and there is no sign of a plan or even being aware of the adjustments to correct the blindingly obvious.

Anyone who would come is likely to be an unproven gamble at this stage. Holloway has the experience to hit the ground running, get some patterns of play into the players and galvanise the fan base.
He also does have appeal to the floating fans, he does know the division and he is available. As unimaginative as it seems, he's looking like a no brainer. Especially given the alternative appears to be to let Appleton stubbornly dither on before ** off once we land in League 1 in the summer anyhow.

Holloway until summer then review from there.

Steve Thompson is the man who can coach training, set a team up, read play and see strategy during a match.
Frankly, the manager can do what he likes with motivational stuff, and the D-of-F can sign who he likes, but Thommo is the man to get results. Twas always thus.

That is who we have been missing for many years. Forget Holloway, Evatt, Adam, Dobbie or whoever. For the moment.
Keep the manager, or replace him. But get Thommo back.

Ollie & Thommo for me too.
Why wait till we get beat on Saturday when it's too late.
He will pick a similar lightweight midfield that we all know isn't working & leave our top scorer on the bench.
Why?

Let's be honest... the board aren't gonna pot him before udders. It's ** terrible to say, but I'm kind of hoping that we lose that game, then they MUST sack him. It's starting to get laughable. Becoming a joke team to all other clubs in the championship. Other teams have sacked for less. 4 points from 30. Imagine 4 points from 33, it's not hard to do, sad to say. He's got to go, and we've got to get some energy back in there. If we bear udders and paper over the cracks just for the wheels to continue to come off... I don't know... but I know we're fucked if we keep him.

He’s completely out of his depth, clueless, should never have got the job in the first place. I called it in June 17th everyone thought I was barmy.

I'm split. Obviously he's poor. I think in moments like this you're better sticking together as a group and hoping to hit form by working hard together.

It's a VERY difficult job for a new manager to come in, it would take them time to find their team and implement their style of playing. I don't think we have the time anymore to do that. If we were going to sack him it should have been in the World Cup break.

I think he's our best chance of survival with our budget / lack of options.

If we go down, fair enough, sack.

I think Holloway is a big gamble. I loved Holloway back in the day but I'm not sure if he still has it anymore. He was all passion, energy and charisma.

In terms of simply keeping us up I do wonder whether someone like Tony Pulis would be our best bet. He knows the division and how to grind out results.

Mick McCarthy rocking up and saying no more midfield pivots, 6s, 8s or 10s or any of that bullshit just get it in the mixer for six wins in a row sounds like a dream right now.

took the words out of my mouth but you forgot DJ too

What about when he ditched us out the blue?
So did Appleton, so did Grayson, so did Critchley
It is all part of the managerial merry go round but the thing is we don’t know, and never will know, what goes on behind the scenes to make these people walk. We only work on assumptions and guess work.

Bet you didn’t call him a prick when he got us to the Premiership!
The epitome of hypocritical fickleness!
When did I call Holloway a prick and when have I been hypocritical? My point was that it was a perfect culmination of signings and teamwork that got us promoted and will never be recreated by Holloway at Blackpool or anywhere else for that matter.

Moreover his criticism of the fans over the NAPM campaign has tarnished his reputation in my eyes and I wouldn't want him back at the club in any capacity.
