What's all this 'we' about?
Quite agree. He said it with genuine, warmth, enthusiasm and sincerity as far as I could see. Whatever else he did or didn't do, that Premier season was truly astonishingHe's earned the 'we'.
Absolutely! I couldn't put it better! He's earned the 'we'.
At least Colin was more sartorial astute; wearing his Blackpool jumper again.Thought he looked like a small Bavarian wood cutter this evening, that jacket.
Well said LythamTo expand a little on my point above.
He had over three years here when no manager afterwards could stick a year under that family, in that time he took us to the PL and another play off final while playing the most exciting football I've ever witnessed at Bloomfield.
Give the man a break, just because some miserable fuckers bang on about him supporting the Oystons, the same miserable fuckers who happily handed their ticket and beer money over to that family for years and years, everyone is guilty of enabling them up to the boycott.
So let's drop the hypocrisy and just celebrate the man for what he did for us. If he wants to say 'we' in relation to us he's more than entitled.
Oi Al less of the Bavarian!Thought he looked like a small Bavarian wood cutter this evening, that jacket.
Soz Stew, but you must’ve met loads of small Bavarian wood cutters when you were in Munich, we were falling over them in the Hirschgarten!Oi Al less of the Bavarian!
You probably had too many beers in the Hirschgarten Biergarten Al to remember!Soz Stew, but you must’ve met loads of small Bavarian wood cutters when you were in Munich, we were falling over them in the Hirschgarten!
Hic! Probs. You probably had too many beers in the Hirschgarten Biergarten Al to remember!
No he hasn’t. He walked out on us and continues to never criticise the Oyston’sHe's earned the 'we'.
Which manager ever criticised them? Billy didn't, Macca didn't.No he hasn’t. He walked out on us and continues to never criticise the Oyston’s
Interesting point that Lytham. I'm struggling to think of any ex managers, coaches or players that have been publicly critical of them. Perhaps, it was written into their contracts? The football equivalent of a non disclosure agreement maybe?Which manager ever criticised them? Billy didn't, Macca didn't.
As for 'walking out' so did Grayson, who also never criticised them, left us in a worse position, league and player wise, than Holloway yet you welcomed him back as did everyone else, including Simon Sadler.
Which players have spoken up? A handful at most, Charlie is a hero to everyone yet has never criticised the Oystons and also walked out on us, in fact threw his toys out that January he couldn't leave, even got his Dad to plead his case he was that desperate to abandon us mid season.
Like I said, hypocrisy that's football fans though eh? Pick and choose.

Doubtful it was in their contracts, I think it's just that criticising ex chairmen, whoever they are, isn't great for a long term career in the game.Interesting point that Lytham. Gary Taylor-Fletcher was plenty critical of him. Didn’t stop him applying for the manager’s job. All those senior players from the Premier League team would have snapped Karl’s hand off for a chance at coaching or managing under himDoubtful it was in their contracts, I think it's just that criticising ex chairmen, whoever they are, isn't great for a long term career in the game.
Let it go. Its a decade on now. All worked out for the best.No he hasn’t. He walked out on us and continues to never criticise the Oyston’s
GTF is literally the only one, and then not massively, and then after he'd been rejected for the manager's job.Gary Taylor-Fletcher was plenty critical of him. They are still a powerful family. And they know how to throw their weight around.GTF is literally the only one, and then not massively, and then after he'd been rejected for the manager's job.
Even Brett was fairly neutral when asked why his testimonial was at Fylde.
100% Ollie thanks for the memories! Far too many to put in a post which is why I’m happy to forgive and forget about his Oyston supporting mistakes. I had a beer with him in G casino and he is a right laugh on the ale!To expand a little on my point above.
