I always felt the problem with McCarthy (as I genuinely thought he'd keep us up) was what to do with him at the end of the season and I feel a bit like that way with Ollie. If he'd have kept us up, would anyone want him to have been released but at the same time would anyone want him as manager?
 
It still annoys me how close we came to staying up. The number of points we dropped to last minute goals was incredible.
Had we stayed up who knows what would have happened but there’s no doubt that we would have kept Ollie
 
Thursday night she said he’d asked to come back to the club 3 times and each time left with egg on his face. He never mentioned when or what capacity but he clearly loves the place, by his own admission he had a cry in the centre circle in that charity game.
Absolutely love the guy
