My family think I'm addicted to them.

I currently have a win ratio of 5 out of 5 cases that I've raised with them over the last few years.

I've currently also got 3 ongoing cases - one with the mobile ombudsman, one with the motor ombudsman and one with the energy ombudsman.

Anyone else a serial ombudsman case raiser? Love a good ombudsman as I hate the thought of big business screwing people over.
 
NO but i did get 150 last september from my bank about their inablity to issue correct banking pass codes. 75 Pounds last week.. Failure to carry out Standing Order instructions. Items paid TWICE leaving us overdrawn until the end of the banking day. once by 400 . . CoMPLAINTS team is my first port of call. My son being a mortgage /finance broker said thats was the right thing. COMPlaints should be upheld in the first instance if they are genuine.

Only come across one once last year over a mobile contract wrongly described. They resolved it in my favour. IMO it was an open and shut case but Vodafone wouldn’t respond to me apart from demanding payment & threatening with debt collectors. W⚓️’s.

Long shanks, I am very surprised with all your involvement that you don’t know the correct terminology.
It is Ombudsmen. Not Ombudsmans.

Happy to help and maybe I could be the Ombudsman for the King’s English . 😂
 
Always go down the route of raising a complaint with the company first if its warranted. More often than not the company ignores the complaint or advises that after an internal investigation theres no case to answer - that's when my excitement levels rise as I know an ombudsman awaits 😉

The story is usually

Customer aggrieved

Customer complains

Customer fobbed off

Customer escalates

Customer fobbed off again

Customer goes to Ombudsman

Customer gets awarded compo.

It only requires perseverance. And a half decent claim.

Yes, but was it overpriced water due to a leak outside the property which they said was his responsibility.

Was it overcharging but a bank for going into an overdraft.

I want details!
