The great north run is going ahead on Sunday with 60,000 registered plus crowds watching. I really can’t see the difference in that and football

Makes no sense really. Kids could have played tomorrow and paid their respects wearing black bands and having a minutes silence.

Also disappointing about Blackpool cancelling. Plenty would have met friends in the pub where for most the topic of conversation would be the Queen and could have gone to the match for a minutes silence and play the national anthem before the game, would be a real sense of British pride and IMO a fantastic way for the football world to pay their respects to our Queen.
But no, cancel everything and stay at home.

There will be masses of people booking in London over that weekend. People just gathering 'to be there that weekend'. Loads of foreign digs and celebs coming in. The Police will be needed for all that.

We'll see, but I can't see them wanting to Police a football match(es) with so many unknowns.
