One win in eight now, Critchley under pressure

He was a wet weekend in Skeggie and a little weasel, he also left the club right up shit creek, he was hailed as the next big thing as a manger of the future. Well I don't think a long stint in League 1 or as an U23 coach for one of the big boys is what that meant.

I suspect the slight downturn in results has more to do with the instability that has resulted from the recent managerial faffing around.

In terms of point on the board (in the league) he’s doing OK…

He’s not been in post long enough to judge yet…

A silly post really.
Would you expect anything different off the o/p?

Yet our fans get called out for eventually turning on a manager who couldn't buy a win and got a sum total of 2 chants against him. Plus he was already disliked who he came here.

Critchley has been there what, 7 games? Already they've turned.
Sound a bit entitled

And that's not where he is...

Could do with him getting his act together next weekend when they're at Hull away.
Sadly on 38 points they are just probably two wins to safe.

absolute nonsense. I'd say that across the leagues on the final day of the season that many games are dead rubber games. Critchley disrespected the fans. It really is as simple as that.
Don't the players have a responsibility? Yes he's the manager but too often the players get away with the focus being on him. Even more so on the last day of the season when many will be playing for a future the next season.
It's also ridiculous that a dead rubber on the last day of the season last year is still being discussed and used in arguments.

The weight of expectation at QPR is obviously too much for a somewhat lightweight coach like Critchley. There are some big egos in that dressing room aswell, and he probably works best with a more positive younger bunch of lads. He won’t last until the start of next season IMO.

Not really correct that is it?

Holloway was a good manager until he started to believe his own hype and siding with the owners against fans

Paul Ince did well to keep us in the Championship and was unlucky to be sacked, let's be honest 6 managers later didn't do any better, Paul Ince didn't get us relegated

Grayson was a good manager and had a proven track record of promotions with multiple clubs

Critchley wasn't all that and played boring football whist tinkering with the selection all the time

Appleton was a poor appointment and didn't get backed by the fans or board
You're not unlucky to be sacked when you've lost 9 on the trot as well as the majority of fans. Ince had to go.

Appleton was a case of the Board not reading the room. He was always going to find it difficult to win over the fans.

Critchley got us promoted against the odds then kept us up with 15 points to spare. Doesn't deserve the grief he gets from a bunch of jilted teenagers.

I'm surprised that QPR fans were booing Quitchley's team. Even though the points total could be better, it's not as though he plays boring football is it? On second thoughts....😀
I was talking to a QPR fan today and he was saying that the main problem is that there’s no quality in the team 🍊

The QPR fan I know says he pays a negative style and doesn't play his better players

Very rarely plays Chair, Adomah, Willock or Dozzell in the same team

Agree with all of that Wizz although Appleton could have won the fans over if he hadn't played such negative, boring and ultimately unsuccessful football - he promised us attacking football - didn't deliver. Only way he needed to win me over was on the pitch and he failed.

He never had a chance with our fans and the football wasn't any more boring or negative than what Critchley played

Some right shite being posted on this board at the moment

The worrying thing is you genuinely believe that, don’t you?

At the end of the day, if we were sitting in 15th or 16th in the league, he’d still be in a job.

The reason he’s no longer in a job is because we were heading down under his mismanagement.

The football wasn't any worse than last season, the results were that can't be denied

It was though.

Last season the football clearly wasn’t like watching Man City, but there was a structure to our team, we was organised and hard to score against.

This season we’ve been similar to watch, but we’ve had a none existent midfield and literally every side we’ve played against created chances for fun.

He got us promoted and kept us up in the Championship, something which Apples has never done but he's the messiah to you.. but Critch only did a good job for about 6 months... Have a day off for once
Why would you say he's a messiah? He certainly isn't I just feel the grief he got was uncalled for and completely counter productive

He didn’t help himself though by pushing back against the scepticism and thereby perpetuating the vicious circle of supporters losing faith in the manager and the manager trying to prove the supporters wrong by making boneheaded and inexplicable decisions. He didn’t help himself and in my view made it worse.
