Then it was Nathan Jones nailed on, with a late run on Paul Heck who was shot down in flames by the fans and described as only in the frame cos hes mates with Mansford. At the death Critchley emerged and won the race and maybe this will be the same.
Appleton would be a shocking appointment but hopefully he is being put forward as a red herring and to gauge the fans opinion of him and reduce expectation before the real deal arrives. This needs sorting ASAP as potential signings are already committing elsewhere whilst we still have a rudderless ship.
