As an impressionable 14 year old this was the first time I had seen skinheads. It was mayhem that day. The sitting magistrate at the Blackpool Court stated that the dress code of the Pompey fans was a skit on the Royal Navy. Shaped my dress code for ever really. Got the Ben Sherman, Levi's, braces, and DMs. Still partial to a Fred Perry and Harrington. Any else got memories of this match?

Arrived at the ground around 2:30pm actually got on the Kop around 3:05pm - lively I would say
 
i remember seeing Pompey boot boys that had been spray painted on the walls a couple of years later when I started going. I presume from that match.
 
Pompey and Southampton regularly in Blackpool from breakfast time in those days. Always lively 😳
 
Those were the day's, with one eye on the match and the other one on the idiots.
We all shared the kop and we were all stood up together.
 
They weren't that tough, us St Annes lad's held our ground and gave a few of them a slap on the Kop.
