I know it was always believed Martin Slumbers the R& A chief ex was never a fan of Lytham and yet these changes have been agreed on his watch and the Womens is coming in 2026. He is stepping down though at the end of the year. I'm sure we will see the men's here again though.

Staining has its detractors but for all year round golf at a relatively cheap price it’s pretty good. I've played on there about 6 times since November and in pretty good nick considering.

North Shore is clinging onto its existence - clubhouse is dying
 
Had the pleasure of playing at Princes down here in Kent a couple of weekends ago. Now that is Links at its worst. The second day was brutal but great fun.

A few long standing members have worked hard and put their own money in to keep the club afloat.
The clubhouse externally is now looking great. To survive however, they need a large influx of members. The course is usually struggling at this time of year, especially with all the recent rain.
It changes the summer when the course and greens are in good order

Did you stay in the Lodges?
Great value and the 27 holes have improved out of all recognition in recent years.
