Our best signing of the season?

I get the sentiment, but it’s a moot point really. If Critch was tempted by a bigger club they’d just pay the compo. The best we can hope for is that he wants to stay for the ride, and the only benefit for having a lengthy contract is a bit more money coming in.

Of course, but lets make him feel more valued, and if and when he does go, bank more compo!

Let's not forget that it has taken time for Critchely to make his mark and implement his way of playing when appointed. I'd say we are only now seeing it truly come to fruition 18 months later. Any so called 'bigger' clubs want instant success and that wouldn't happen, they don't have the time or patience. It took klopp a few years to get Liverpool playing the way he wanted and it's the same situation here with critchley

I just get a feeling Critch is here for the long haul. Set up a Shankly type dynasty complete with boot room.
Give me the “dogs” if I,m wrong after all it’s only a feeling

Exactly. He is also having a huge input in to the new training ground, making his mark. Why would he then suddenly just want to leave

His first management job, hopefully he’ll be loyal and stay with us until the job is done, and we’ve won the champions league 😆

I think he's the sort of man who is enjoying what he's doing, developing a squad in the way that he wants and as long as financially we're keeping him happy and he's part of the training ground plans then there is no reason why this can't be a long term project.

He’s only just taken us up to the Championship after his first full season in charge, why wouldn’t he want to stay and complete the job of taking us to the Premier League ?
Also, I don’t think he’s going to find another set of fans anywhere in the EFL that adore him as much as us. We get behind the team whether we win, lose or draw. I can’t see any other clubs fans doing that.
Like the saying goes, “the grass always looks greener on the other side” (pardon the pun)

He will obviously be attracting attention but if he went to a struggling Premier team he could be potted in a few months. He's secure here for many years if he wants it.
I agree. He’s got something good going on here, why would he leave. He strikes me as being someone who is loyal, loves coaching and is not necessarily motivated by greed! It doesn’t always work the same moving to another club. Long may he reign at Bloomfield Road!

We will lose Critch eventually and hopefully not because we sack him.
But who, realistically, do you see him managing next?
I could possibly see a team at the level of Everton or possibly even Leicester.
