Our Strikers are poor

i think there are some decent players amongst them. its very rare though that we play with any kind of cohesion in the final third. First half was better today than its been for a while, but still far too many passes in and around the penalty area that are misplaced, overhit, to the wrong player. going forward we are very much relient ona couple of bits of individual brilliance.

how much is that twenty goal a season striker gonnas cost. and how many are actually available . jordan rhodes the only player i can think of that could actually score those goals.,

Kouassi deserves more time because of his age but the other three are complete toss.

I thought the midfield was a lot more positive with Byers in the holding role and whilst I’m not a fan of his at least Carey was positive and got us the win. Coulson had a good first half.

Kouassi disappointed me today, his BFC career set off like a steam train I realise he can't keep that up permanently and he's been injured, but his body language smacked of disinterest for me today.

Are strikers are defo woeful that's for sure. Remember before the season started and a lot of our fans saying that he would be league one too striker 🤣🤣🤣 guy couldn't score in an open goal. Get rid of all the strikers, spend some money, there's devante cole, Jamie Reid, Sam Hoskins. A lot of fans would say get better but they are 10000 times better than what we've got now

He being Lavery*

Our strikers are so so poor! Really need to sort this out this summer as top priority. We need to sign two first choice forwards. I would maybe keep Joseph as I think there may be a player in there and would give him a season longer, also wouldn’t mind keeping Kouassi as back up, he’s a young player who’s been thrown in the deep end. As for Beesley & Lavery, it has to be times up!

Been saying for a while that we lack quality in our strikers and also elsewhere on the pitch. Many have overestimated this squad

Rhodes- Keep
Lavery - Get rid
Beesley - Don’t mind him TBH think he’s had a decent season. Still should be 3rd/4th choice.
Kouassi - Loan him out.
Joseph - Don’t rate him but we have to keep him really. Give him chance to prove himself.

Kouassi is young and very raw - but there’s a player in there I’m sure of it.
He could probably benefit from a run of games on loan somewhere for the first half of next season.

Joseph I actually think is a really good player. He’s just ridiculously unlucky in that whenever he seems to be on the pitch we’re not creating chances and then has to drift out wide or deeper to get involved. Had Joseph had the service Coulson and Dembele were serving up in the first half today I think there’s a good chance the lad would have a goal. But if he’s only getting half chances or no chances he’s going to struggle.

Lavery is done for me. He’s lost his pace, and doesnt look like he has the fight left in him. He had a lot of promise but perhaps it’s time to move him on. It could come back to haunt us if he finds his mojo but probably best for all concerned.

Beesley I think is ok. But not a first choice and not a leading man. His best form was playing alongside Rhodes. He’s older but still quite raw.

All our strikers have a career goals per league appearance ratio of 1 in 5/6, on that basis none of them are good enough for a club supposedly aspiring to get promoted.
More evidence that we need some serious investment on a new coach and players or league 2 is more likely than the championship.

Can’t say I’d be upset if we get shut of them all in the summer - they’re all awful.
It's Peps fault. He had the 'false 9' system. Critchley has taken it one step further with the false forward line system. National league players at best.

Kouassi is 20yrs he needs time to develop,
Joseph is the only striker we have with any kind of ability he needs to be along side a decent partner who can control the ball.

Kouassi lacks pace and doesn't score goals.
Joseph isn't a striker as his 1 in 6 record clearly shows.

Beasley has a poor touch but works hard, Kouassi is slow but has great upper-body strength and has managed to use that to be involved in the
last two goals that we scored. Lavery seems to have lost his pace and lacks the size to play against big defenders. Joseph was okay at creating assists in the season's first half but lacks the ability or confidence to score goals. Unfortunately, the loss of Rhodes has probably cost us
3 or 4 goals may have been the difference to us being in a playoff position now.

I think we need to move Lavery and Beasley, Kouassi on at the end of the season and get three fresh strikers in, as for Rhodes I believe, we need to get someone on a loan that is younger and less injury-prone. It is a shame but I think he just isn't up to playing every week now.
