Our VAR debut?

There will be VAR at St Mary's for the Cup game.
Am I right in thinking that this will be the first time we will play under these conditions?

Yep don’t recall any match with us involving VAR.
Is it any advantage for teams that use it week in week out?

Yes, I think it's an advantage and it is ridiculous to use it in some games and not others. The main advantage is that PL defenders are used to contesting the ball even if a linesmans' flag does or does n't go up for an offside. Whereas EFL players are conditioned to stop if they see a flag go up.

Oh no……as was said on the “ box” yesterday there should be no VAR just because a EPL club playing at home has it available when the rest of the competition doesn’t.…..and whilst I’m at it the whole offside rule needs a complete rethink…ask Wolves.

Yeah surely has to be the same rules for all.

Thanks guys. I had forgotten about the Brighton game.
As an aside, one of my favourite away wins was at the Dell many years ago.
We won 5 1 with Ray Charney and Hugh Fisher among the scorers. Late 60s maybe.
I know it was New Year's Eve and a group of us spent the evening in Trafalgar Square when we got back to London.
Happy Days.

Well we've had so many crap decisions go against us this season, who knows, we might actually get some help!
