So who do we expect to leave before the season starts?

I'm thinking obviously Yussuf, Devitt, Nottingham, Turton (technically already left) and maybe Hardie, but hope not as he deserves a chance to try and claim a place in the squad at least.

Any others?

Deal still on the table according to Critchley. I think the most interesting is Hardie. Another two decent strikers at the club and I just get the feeling he wants to go back to Plymouth. Be nice to have options though.

Agree on Hardie, I'd like to see him stay as I feel he could offer something and Critchley could get the best out of him. It's just whether that would be enough to put him ahead or at least on par with the other options. Also hope to see more from Kaikai and used better. Feel he's got potential to be great
 
We’re back in training today.

Critchley will want to have a look at everyone on the books. I don’t think we can second guess anything at this point. He might see something in one of the “not fancied” players he quiet likes.

But you’d have to think people like Devitt Yussuf and Nottingham may want to leave if they have hardly any game time to look forward too.
 
We need a Husband.. no nonsense full back, who gets forward... While I like McDonald, Husband, gets stuck in..
 
I can’t believe the change we saw in Marc Bola. From mercurial to mediocre in one season at M’boro.

Agreed he was very poor on his return but maybe that was down to being a decent player in a terrible team previously? Wouldn't want another return after last season's showing for sure

Surprised by Turton re-signing as I thought he had something else in mind. Will be ok as a squad player but suspect Neil will be looking for better as a starter. Very excited to see what strings will be pulled to bring in Liverpool loanees. Think this is going to be a very good season - if we actually get to see any of it 🙄
 
Following Critchley during his time at Liverpool, he seems to be comfortable with the system they use which is 4-3-3. They also were fond of full backs bombing forward which is not really Husband. Would not be surprised to see Feeney and Macdonald as full backs so we need someone defensively to play alongside Virtue as cover (eg Lowe).
 
Defense - I suspect Edwards may be one we ship out. I just can't see him fitting in with the style NC will adopt.

Midfield - Garrity will get a loan, he was an odd signing but can't see him breaking into the first 11 or squad as it stands.

Forwards - Weston will get a loan, hopefully to a local L1/Conference side.

The missing piece of the puzzle is a central midfielder who can dominate and dictate play. Probably the most difficult to find. Maybe this where we use the loan market. If we could somehow manage to bring Taylor Moore and KDH back I'd be off to the bookies to have a flutter!!

Neither Feeney or Macdonald are Full backs, there's No way they'll start there.

Husband is an attacking full back when played in a 4, the goal at Ipswich and Kaikais free kick against the cods spring to mind as decent examples, but he often played in a 3 under Grayson and his attacking qualities were nullified
 
Alexander-Arnold was converted to attacking right back so Feeney is worth a go and Husband lacks pace to get forward down the left. Decent bog standard left back but not attack minded enough.
