Do they not think take it upon themselves to go outside the school when they finish early to mid afternoon and pick up the hundreds of discarded Covid tests chucked on the floor by their pupils ??? Or do they think it’s beneath them??? Or may they think f***it the residents wil pick up the shit!!!!

Cut them some slack. They only get 20 weeks holiday a year and would you feel like picking up litter after a 5 hour shift?
 
Would it not be simpler to organise the testing system so that there aren't hundreds of discarded Covid tests littering the streets?

Or is that beneath the teachers too?

I meant the kids…. We used to have to do it! Don’t get me wrong, I have the upmost admiration for teachers - I couldn’t do it, I haven’t the patience

I knew what you meant 😁. God knows, we ask the kids at primary to do it, they love a bit of litter picking with the litter picker grabbers, probably a different story at high school.

Cheers Newholland - lead from the front, and in a small school we all have to do a lot of different jobs. I enjoy it though, the kids are great and I’m lucky I’ve a staff that go above and beyond. Plus I get to do football training in my Blackpool top each week with the juniors, they will get converted…👍

Last count 5 close family members teaching or retired . Love their jobs, all say the same... kids are great... but as for some of their parents 🤪🤣
