Owen Dale

CJ did OK yesterday, he cut back several crosses that our forward players need to start reading better. OK he made a few mistakes also but he certainly wasn't the worst player and at least caused their defenders a lot of problems.

Dale did OK when he came on. He's a decent player and has a bit of the devil in him. I don't see him as a starter however, or not yet.

CJ takes too long to pull the ball back he did he 3 times yesterday. He will probably beat every FB in the division one on one.

Dale generally flatters to deceive. Two moments of real quality in a season are not enough for us to indulge him - move him on !

Let’s see how he develops. One of them that will either come good soon or disappear.

If we stick mostly to 532 Dale will have to play as a forward in the two surely, and I'm not sure he's very suited? He said himself he's trying to learn a new role. We could probably use the squad place better.

I'm thinking we are going to see more squad change than perhaps we thought, a few outs and a few ins. Tharme Dale Virtue Trybull Lyons are all potential leavers. From 20 current outfield senior players I think so August could get busy. Time will tell.

I quite like Dale too in the same manner as the OP. My only objection to Dale is that he's probably the main reason that Apter isn't on the bench which is a bit unfair.
