Can bring that cost down by bringing your swaps into school and ordering the last 50-100 stickers from Panini

I think I've spent £100 on it already. You can order specific stickers from Panini also so once down to the final x amount I think that's what I will do.

Not sure I can go stand at the school gates. 😅
Think of the savings 😉 Seriously though, for those that are into it, I'm sure there will be adult 'meet-ups' for swaps

Football cards in the 70's ,I can still feel the excitement in buying a new pack and smelling the bubblegum!
I think it was last year I was in a shop buying something and there was some kind of football sticker album next to the till and it said free. I asked the woman if it was ok to take one and she said yes....but aren't you a bit old for that !

And who this time will be the card everyone's got that you can't get rid of via swappsie's? And who's the equivalent of the Heart of Midlothian badge.

The last few tournaments I’ve been sent two boxes of albums and stickers to give out free to the kids at school - the level of interest isn’t there any more barring a small group of lads and girls that were chuffed. Panini clearly hoping if they get a free album and a couple of packs of stickers, they’ll be more likely to keep spending.

1978 last one I started.

I was going to say that I think there is only Kieran Maguire who collected Panini stickers in to adulthood but that appears not to be the case.

Just to make it clear Wiz, I meant that it appears that Tommy and Cumbrian are still collecting them and not that you were already old in 1978.

They always used to give a free book and a free packet of stickers with Shoot or Match Weekly.

Always hooked me in very easily.

I’m 31 and yes, still collecting. Still get the same enjoyment as I did when I was a kid albeit without the swapping aspect with friends.

These days it seems the kids are more into the cards than the sticker books but that’s not my cup of tea.

I was only kidding Cumbrian, I do consider it to be more of a kiddies thing and that the interaction with pals was what it was all about as a kid.

Good luck with your swaps and filling your book up, I hope you don't have to spend too much time at the school gates :)

This is chicken feed in comparison to what I can spend in my hobby. That cost is far out of reach though for a lot of kids wanting to collect all the stickers. They’ll have to be savvy when trading and finishing their book. I still have my prem 95 sticker book somewhere 😂

Oh yeah, I know you was joking. I was just sharing why I still do it. My partner also loves stuff like this. Safe to say we're screwed when/if we have kids! 😂

Panini haven't included Kenny in the Australian squad 😮.

I know! No Theo in the Canada squad either. 🥲

Last one I completed was South Africa, luckily there was a market stall selling the stickers at a vastly reduced price, clearly having fallen off the back of a lorry.

Think Premier League '94 was my last album. Am glad the kids have stopped with the Match Attax now, fuck me that's a dear do, but I had the benefit of a paper round. You've got to be 13 to graft now.

Had full 82 world cup full in mint condition. Brother emptied my mums old house and put it in skip so he said.
Never forgiven him for the last 8 years.

Has always been the biggest waste of money out there - as a parent I tell the kids I’ll buy them an England shirt - costs less and is actually used beyond the World Cup.

trying to use this World Cup. Fifa on xbox and these stickers as a way of getting my lad involved in footy! 7 year old Brazilian - you would think he would be more into it!!! hahaah
