Patino

Fingers crossed that Arsenal continue to do well with no major injury issues, otherwise he might end up back there in January. Wouldn't rule out him being rested on Wednesday either, although after yesterday it looks like we're down to the bare bones again.

Arsenal fans are keeping close tabs on him. There's usually a YouTube video posted after each game of all his touches and the comments are usually 100% positive about him and BFC. Surprisingly, many seem quite knowledgeable about the Championship too. He's mustard btw
People who keep an eye on loan players generally know their stuff.

At one point late on, he was in our box just turned side stepped and clipped a little pass away and we broke out. No panic, just so confident in his ability.

Top drawer at 18.
Aye saw that. Players like him seem to be able to slow time down somehow and have a calm vision. He misplaced a few paces but overall, very mature and slick for his age.

So good that he could be the catalyst for achieving something unexpected. Superb and looking a standout player in the championship, at 18. I'm surprised we managed to get him tbh. It bodes well for us if top clubs in England trust us with their top young players, and this loan might benefit us for years to come if he goes back to Arsenal a more complete player. It means other clubs will be looking at us for 'work experience' for their top players too.

Edit to add: Just watched the highlights back, look at the first touch when the ball comes to him just before he makes the pass for the third goal. It's absolutely brilliant.

He was out on his feet with 10 minutes to go (18 minutes!!) but he picked up the ball in midfield and just ghosted past two of their players as if they weren't there and then laid it off. He is a quality player and he is going to get better with every game.

I've got a mate who's an arsenal fan... when I told him we got him on loan his reaction was "Patino? Really? Are you sure? How did you manage to get him on loan?" 😁

He is on a completely different level

Technically above everybody on the pitch yesterday

However most of our players were amazing yesterday tbf

I absolutely love watching Patino play. He makes everything seem so easy. In my view he is the catalyst behind our strikers finding their form. They know that when he has the ball the chances are he will find them whether they come short or make a run in behind. Especially looking forward to him running rings around the nobbers on Saturday.
PS would anyone now still want Brannagan instead of Patino?
