Paul Ince - Class Act

Decent comments, but he was a poor manager for us, spent too much time touting his son round Europe and talking about Manchester United etc..

The chants towards him and Tom clearly get them both rattled..It negatively affects Tom's game and that's what home advantage is all about. 👍 .. It's not something we should feel 'uncomfortable' about, it is something that we should actively encourage... It's the type of thing that might mean the difference between staying up and going down this season... We did the same thing to Holloway away at Crystal Palace and it rattled him too..

Mick McCarthy acknowledged that he had personally been given plenty of stick from the Blackpool Fans in his own visits to BR..

It's all part of the game..

Did a good job for us under the circumstances, was it 9 triallists in the 11 in the game before the season started?!

I think Paul would expect stick from the fans he has been around the game long enough. Match day he can GTF and his eyes are off side.

Not sure calling Paul and Tom Ince C***s will be the difference between staying up and going down :)

Not sure it does affect his game tbh.

I get your point though especially where we are at the minute. For the next 4 months we take no prisoners.

I have to admit that I’m still not grown up enough yet… That song makes me chuckle just thinking about it😂

Tom was obviously rattled during the home game he was shaking his head and his decision making was affected…should have passed it a couple of times, but was too desperate to punish us himself.

We do need to try and make our home ground as hostile as possible for the opposition teams and any opportunity to get into a players head is well worth taking… occasionally you can even rattle them enough to get a sending off…

He was very good at kicking water bottles

That was Riga.

That was Riga.
Remember Riga having a similar problem but remember Paul saying he must be the only manager in the championship with X trialists in the team before the season proper. Prob right though maybe not as bad as Riga

I think Ince was a bit like Appleton, a cold fish who fans could just not engage with.
His football was awful, score first and just hang on to 1 nil. I remember work being more enjoyable than watching that at the time. It worked at the start but covered over a multitude of sins.
You know it was bad when Karl sacks you and pays up.

Good manager got us to 3rd in the table playing a certain way. Oystains wouldnt back him when he wanted players in to keep us at the top fact.
